Residenza d'epoca B&B Palazzo Magi

Certificate of Excellence

We stayed at the Palazzo Magi for two nights in early June 2013. We had a marvelous experience there and would recommend it highly. Sophia and her family are down-to-earth, friendly and extremely helpful in every regard. The hotel sits on the main street of this charming town. The evening passeggiata was one of the best parts of our stay. It seemed everyone was out in the street, greeting their neighbors, and we enjoyed being part of that.
The rooms at the palazzo are huge, the bathrooms extremely modern, the breakfast was substantial and as an added bonus, there are public rooms for gathering with friends. We enjoyed the billiard room and also found a cozy spot for a card game. Who could ask for more?
Excellent restaurants and gelato nearby. Lovely small churches and the City Hall has the Piero Resurrection. Anghiari - a site not to be missed- is a few minutes away by car.

Room Tip: Perhaps away from the theatre on one side, just in case there's a blockbuster action film playi...

I arrived in Sansepolcro with no reservation and no idea where to stay. I wandered through this pleasant Tuscan town, the birthplace of the Renaissance painter Piero della Francesca, and peered into the hotels in the centre. I liked the Palazzo Magi so I walked into the lobby and was instantly made to feel at home. The reception was warm and helpful, I was offered either of two rooms, and I took the Mansarda (attic room) sight unseen on the recommendation of the receptionist. It's at the very top of the hotel, and the room is surrounded by windows overlooking the rooftops. I've rarely had a hotel room as light and airy as this one.

The building is a renovated palazzo right in the middle of town. It's full of original architectural elements, and is well maintained. Each room is different with its own character.

The breakfast is very good. They'll make you an excellent coffee, and will cook up something in the kitchen in addition to the well-stocked buffet.

Every time I walked through the lobby I was asked if there was anything they could do for me. They helped me with dinner reservations, travel directions, interesting points about the town, and more.

In the end I added a day to my stay, and was a little sad when I have to leave.

We've been @ Palazzo Magi for just one night with the family (2 adults and 2 children) a Saturday night.
We are extremely happy for this choice, it's a wonderful and amazing place, an ancient building, quite different from a "standard" hotel.
The location is central and quite.
The service is great, the lady managing the hotel (daughter of the owner) is really kind and available to help.
I strongly recommend this hotel if you are passing by Sansepolcro :-)

I had the most fantastic experience in the Palazzo Magi silent, confortable, warm and in he centre of Sansepolcro fantastic place to site visit in Umbria Marche and Tuscany. From sansepolcro we mouved th Anghiari Castiglion Fiorentino and Montalcino in a very easy way. Umbria Perugia and assisi are there and Pesaro and Urbino are at one hour drive, perfect location Sansepolcro.

A truly hidden gem in the heart of Sansepolcro, Tuscana. Everything about this small hotel was right. You are feel welcomed from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave the hotel. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The building is a converted medieval building which has been renovated but has kept the character. When you step out of the hotel you are stepping in history. My wife and I had plans to stay for one night but decided to extend our stay. We highly recommend this hotel and the city/village of Sansepolcro.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the front of the hotel have a beautiful view of the village

This beautiful property is very central in Sansepolcro - we stayed for one night and since we were two adults and two children, were given the suite. It was perfect - two huge rooms with a good bathroom with all the amenities. When it was time for breakfast the next morning, we had our table prepared but were given everything we asked for that was not on the table. The manager is very nice and welcoming ( he was alone in the hotel most of the time). The lady at the bar - where we had breakfast was also very willing to please and we were very satisfied with our experience - at least considering that it was the most expensive night of our holiday, we were really satisfied. One little thing that travellers might find annoying is the proximty to a cinema from where noise could be heard till late. It did not bother us at all! Other things made up for it.

Room Tip: Our room - no 301 is not served with a lift - it is actually in the attic but if you can manage 10 o...

Stayed for 1 night, whilst on business, and this is a very good small hotel, this hotel is in a great position, in centre, and rooms are very good, bit small bathroom, but everything there and very clean.
The staff are exceptional and very friendly and cant do enough for you, if you need to be in this area, this hotel is well worth the visit.
Believe these are new owners of the hotel, and you can tell, they know how things should be done, and are going the right way to ensure guest enjoy there stay.
