I was at the hotel as part of a group package, which included all meals. This quaint hotel run by Antonella and her husband was a pleasure from the day we arrived. Rooms were very clean, and enough space for a desk. Service was good, I did laundry, and that was very efficient returning by noon. We had 3 meals a day at the hotel, and the food was spectacular. Buffet, several pastas, and lots of choices for desert, with one special item at desert each day. Antonella arranged for a visit to a parmisian farm (free because run by a friend of hers).
Salsomaggiore is a nice small italian town that is know for the thermal spa healing waters, many of the other visitors in the hotel had come for that purpose. The city center is walking only, and lined with delightful restaurants, gelato, and coffee places. On the weekend there is a market set up in the main plaza. Definitely worth a visit if you are travelling near there.More
