Where to start really. On arrival we were told that our bus full of people had to wait for 2 hours for the maid to finish cleaning the room (surely they knew the arrive time of a bus full of guests).

Room was fairly clean to first look. After around a day we noticed that our bathroom stunk of feces, to the point where if we left our bathroom door open during the day our whole room would stink of human waste. After checking I noticed a whole no2 under the toilet bush. I simply pulled the bush into a prominent position for the maid to clean for her only to move it back into the normal position unnoticed. Surely she could smell the state of the room? After mentioning it to reception nothing was done, to the point where we had to leave the toilet bush and holder on the window ledge to stop the smell.

Also in regards to the maids cleaning, I’m all for her to clean the room and coming back to a clean fresh room but here they seem to rearrange all your belonging even if there tidily put away. To the point where I believe they are rummaging through your personal possessions for something.

Finally the food.....Not worth the money, I’d rather have gone self catered and eaten cereal for a week. An evening meal should be something to look forward to, not being served tasteless slop.
The morning breakfast is truely shocking. Cannot even flack a toaster or warm food.

This hotel is horrible and completely ruined my holiday. To anyone wanting to come to this resort come as the skiing is brilliant but please do not make the mistake that I have as it’ll ruin your stay.

first the plus points
good food
friendly staff
close to lift

now the bad points
rooms way to small for 2 people , i have had larger single rooms also way to hot and stuffy in fact i have returned with an infection put down to this , if you open the window you can hear noise from people leaving the bars in the early mornings , the bathroom you can almost use the shower and toilet at the same time , also a long walk up the hill with your bags .
price of sauna and hot tub is to put it blunt a joke at 20 euro a day
also its like going back to the 70s with the decor
its 3 floors and the lift only goes to the second ? why
would i return , No

Room tip: no matter where you sleep you will hear noise

Welcome was non-existent. Room was very nice, in a clean condition, well topped up with soaps etc. Breakfast buffet basic and the same every day: cold meats and cheese, cereals, sweet croissants and hard stale rolls. Juice and hot drinks restricted to one only! Hardly a breakfast to set you up for a day on the slopes... Afternoon tea non-existent - misleading advertising. Dinner started well with an excellent cold buffet of salads and titbits. Then plummetted into, at best, mediocre main courses, usually overcooked meat or fish. Same stale rolls. Some nice desserts. Service was friendly but inattentive. The waiter allowed us to choose a dish containing something we had stated we did not eat. Manageress unpleasant at the end when they overcharged us, and she summoned the staff member, then begrudgingly took it off the bill. Could have been tempted to stay there again if it was a good deal, but her attitude ruined it for us. Good access to the chair - 5 mins walk.

Room tip: 2nd or 3rd floor

This is my second stay at the Savioa and I am pleased with it again.

Located only about 100 (uphill!) metres to the Clotes chairlift and the same downhill to the town centre, this hotel occupies an excellent location.
Manager/owner and all the staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive.

Rooms are not massive, but certainly big enough for the two of us, with enough storage space for all our gear. Decent shower, clean towels every couple of days, warm, cosy. The cleaning staff even folded our discarded clothes.

Breakfast is a cold buffet, but there is oodles of choice and no one seems to mind folk sneaking stuff into their bags for the hill.
Evening meals follow a regular pattern of excellent cold salad buffet (available throughout the mealtime), then a pasta/soup/rice course, then a meat course, then dessert. Vegetarian options are always available. The food was great - and there is loads of it.

I suppose the hotel is not particularly posh or modern, but it does not pretend to be. If you are after a good, solid base from which to ski your head off, you can't really go wrong here (unless you expect the spa to be free).

I would happily use this place again.

Our room was clean and reasonable size, hot shower, twin beds seemed quite small and a bit hard but we got used to them. The hotel is in a good location for the nearest ski lift and not far to walk. We were half board and there was a good selection for breakfast which was continental and a good choice for dinner which was 4 courses. Hotel staff were pleasant and helpful.

Room tip: we were on the front and there is some noise from people outside at night, so perhaps ask for a room facing the back.
