Just back after brilliantt week in Sauze D'oulx. The Hotel Gran Biata was very good. The room allocated was a large four bedded family room with large bath. Very spacious, lots of storage space and very comfortable beds. The hotel has a cozy bar and lounge with open fire and lots of seating. The dining room is very traditional and welcoming with tables nicely laid out. The continental style breakfast was very extensive with a good range of cereals, rolls, cakes, yoghurt, eggs, ham, cheese and preserves. The evening meals were four courses including an extensive salad buffet. Good range of menu options and all meals were delicious and generously proportioned. The staff were all extremely helpful, friendly and charming. A most enjoyable stay.

Room Tip: Some early morning noise at back when the refuse service arrived, otherwise a peaceful location considering how close to town centre.

Hotel Gran Baita offers comfortable accommodation that eases the muscle pain after a long day of skiing. Good food, clean rooms, friendly staff and a ski equipment room with boot warmers. Special mention about the fireplace - cosy. Couldn't have asked for anything better. Although a little walk uphill to the chairlift, the hotel has its own unique charm that it's worth the puff in the mornings.

Stayed here for a week on 19/03/17 - The staff were extremely friendly, great location (close to the main square) and the hotel was extremely clean. The food was AMAZING, really good varied menu, all of it was cooked perfectly and ravioli was delicous. The staff were always chatty and friendly, always apporachable and nothing was too much trouble, we went out for drinks with the staff one evening (so much fun). I cant rave about how much I liked this hotel, great value for money, good location - It ticks all the boxes !!!!!!!!!

I have recently returned from Sauze D'Oulx and can safely say without a doubt that this hotel is the best hotel I have stayed in.

For starters, when we arrived we were greeted by the beautiful Carmen, she informed us that despite it still being very early in the day our room was ready and we could move straight in. Skis and boots went in the warm and secure ski locker and then straight into our room.

The room was huge, plenty of room for three large adults, ample storage and brand new mattresses ensured that a great night sleep was had every night. The bathroom was clean and modern with a grand circular bath and shower, big enough to have a great soak after a long day on the mountain.

The bar and lounge area on the ground floor is warm and inviting, with very reasonable drinks prices and a fantastic selection drinks we found ourselves spending much time here. The lounge area has ample seating for all the guests and the large fire is a real centre piece.

I looked forward to dinner and breakfast everyday, the chefs are incredible and do a fantastic job every night. Breakfast is always plentiful with continental breakfast taken to the extreme (so many options). Dinner every night is 3 courses plus a salad bar serving different salad and antipasti throughout the week. A personal highlight is Polenta with Sausages!

I was sad to leave the Gran Baita but feel like this will not be the last time I stay in such a magic place. Thank you to all the staff for making our holiday!

just came back from grand baita, just across from the main square and about 15 minute trudge up hill to the nearest ski lift. the hotel is spotless and warm the food is fantastic with a varied menu, and the staff and owner are really nice people, who are very welcoming. the lounge/bar area is nice and restful, if you want to party go out to one of the nearby bars, but the town is not as noisy as it used to be....
the ski area isn't as big as some resorts in Italy but has some great skiing, including going through the trees at the side of the piste...great fun.we had everything from sun to rain and snow when we were there and the bottom slopes were a bit slushy, but then it is the end of the season....great holiday would go back again.
