“Superb -what more can I say!”

Managed to get a late deal with Inghams to this lovely, charming hotel which is located in the back streets approx 5-10 mins walk from town with beautiful views over vineyards and mountains. It is extremely clean and the food is great, 4 courses every night served to you at your table, buffet breakfast on the terrace and most unexpectedly, free lunch. They have recently opened a new spa which is free to guests although they insist you wear a swimming hat in both indoor and outdoor pools. If there was one slight niggle it was the price of the drinks (average 22 euros for a bottle of wine) which I thought a little excessive especially with the exchange rate being low. Maybe they should think about offering a carafe for about 15 euros which might promote more people to indulge. Inghams reps Lorna and Lee deserve a special mention for their knowledge, organisation, commitment and humour. One thing to remember if you are a smoker or drinker - buy whatever you want in resort because Verona airport will not sell tobacco or alcohol to euro travellers. All things considered a fantastic break in beautiful surroundings. Would I go back - try and stop me!!!!

Booked a great deal with Inghams lakes and mountains, whom I must admit we hadnt heard of before, but we had great experience and superb holiday. Reps Lee and Lorna were great and very informative.
The journey to the hotel gave a very good first impression of the area and got us very excited when we got our first glimpse of the lake. WOW!!
After reading reviews on tripadvisor we weren't really worried about the hotel and thanks to honesty of previous reviewers it lived up to all our expectations. Lucky to have a Junior Suite, very spacious and great views. Leisure facilities really good, swimming pool, spa centre 1st class.
Food , well what can I say, Excellent five courses every night , lunch which was complimentry and breakfast outdoors served till 11.00 so could lie in if we wanted. Only dissapointment that drinks were on the expensive side what with the poor exchange rate but never mind the friendly service made up for this.
The area was great, a short walk into Riva and we managed to find a different way each time, the scenery was breathtaking. Took boat trips to Limone and Malcesnie, cable car up to top of mountain, breathtaking and such a quaint little town, need to see more.
Very good holiday would recommend to others and as our title says want to go back as soon as posssible.

We took advantage of a late booking and didnt expect too much though having read about Villa Nicolli on Trip advisor we were hoping for a pleasant week and we were not disappointed. When we arrived late at night due to delayed flight we were surprised the hotel had gone to the trouble of setting tablesfor us and preparing plates of cold food. We werent wild about our room however, and would advise anyone who can afford to go for a room with balcony as the standard room was very small and a bit claustrophobic with limited, and difficult (and not full length) hanging space but as we had paid the minimum we didnt feel hard done-by, though we did try to upgrade and pay extra but there was only a deluxe to be had and at E50 extra a night we decided to stay put. However, the bed was very comfortable, the A/C worked efficiently and we had a smart shower and bathrobe and slippers so we got used to it.Otherwise everything was perfect. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the pool a delight (though be prepared to wear a swim hat, you have to buy one for 3Es, no big deal, if you dont have one). The food was imaginative and plentiful and the staff were the best I've encountered even in 5 star hotels. At one point I walked back to the evening dessert buffet as I'd forgotten a spoon and the waiter knew exactly what I needed before I'd started to reach for the cutlery, offering me two sizes!

The hotel is a about 10 mins walk away from the centre but it is set back from the main road and is very quiet and the insulation in our room must have been good as we never heard a squeak from the neighbours, just a distant flush in the early hours if you too were in your bathroom.
Would we go back? Oh yes, without a doubt. The family who own it give such good service and value we would be hard put to to find better.

This hotel is a gem. My hubby and I have just returned from a week at the Villa Nicolli and all we can do is praise it. Clean, well presented and great service from all the staff. It is slighty back from the harbour about 5-10 mins at a leisurely pace, but this is one of it's bonuses as there is no people or traffic noise, and it is perfect for the evening stroll to the harbour that you definitely need just to let the amazing 5 course evening meal settle.
With the buffet breakfast (the complimentary buffet lunch), and the evening meals being so tasty expect to put on a bit of weight whilst there. The new spa wing is fantastic, we first used it during an afternoon downpour, and it was the height of luxury. There is a steam room, sauna, a room with charged ions, a 3 part shower & mist, a strange 2 part shower and some heated air beds that are all available 3 - 7pm & an indoor pool with various bubbly bits, jacuzzis (seated & lying down) open from morning to 8pm.
The room was a good size, though the beds were a little on the hard side, and the balcony (ours looked back towards the mountains) is a nice touch.
The only down side is that to use the pools (inside or out) you have to wear a swimming cap, your own or one bought from reception for 2 or 3€ ( I can't be sure as I bought the cap in combination with the flip flops that must be worn if you want to use the spa - total for both was 5€), so for both of us to use the spa it cost an extra 10€ that we hadn't known about.
The outdoor pool is nice with a small garden to the side that is perfect for quiet sunbathing.
Riva itself is a great resort with the dramatic mountains to the back and side and the beautiful lake with all it's lovely harbour and plenty of watersports. The local buses were immaculate and pretty prompt and reasonably priced.

We have just returned from Hotel villa Nicolli after using Tripadvisor to see the recommended hotels, Hotel Villa Nicolli really lived up to its reviews. We could not fault this hotel or the service, it was excellent, and the meals were plentiful and good too.

Our room looked out onto the Vineyard, we would certainly recommend this hotel and the region for the stunning scenery and fab walks..

We booked this hotel last minute with Ingrams and have to say it was one of the best last minute deals we have ever booked. The hotel was great the room big and very clean, with brilliant views. We had a view of the hills and vineyard, and everything was in the room you would expect, eg big bathroom.

A bonus was the food and staff both of which were top notch, the food plenty and well made, showing off some of the regions best food, the staff very friendly without crowding you and the whole hotel had a homely feel. And then there was the new SPA, just cannot get any better.

All this, then the hotel was perfectly located just outside the town (10 mins walk) which made it easy to get in and out and then into the hills and boat trips

I would recommend this hotel for those who want relaxation and a perfect location for walking or biking. I would, no will, return one day

My wife and I booked a hoilday via Inghams. It was fairly last minute - we paid £412 pp including flights from Gatwick to Verona, transfers to the hotel and half board. We'd upgraded to a room with a balcony and mountiain views as it only cost around £20 extra.

We hired a car as we wanted a bit of independence to visit the region. The journey took around and hour from Verona and the hotel was quite easy to find being signposted from te main road. The hotel was around 10 minutes walk from the centre This suited us fine as it was in a quiet area near to a vineyard an way from the hustle and bustle of the town centre.

The hotel was excellent. The first thing that struck us was the genuine friendliness of the member of staff at reception who checked us in very speedily. The room was large and more of a suite with a big comfortable bed (two twins pushed together) and with more than enough space for a sofa and large armchair. The room was on the third floor and had a balcony with with two chairs and views of the mountains, vineyards, the pool and the new spa centre. The room and bathroom were extremely clean. The bathoom was large with hot high pressure water at all times.

Breakfast was very good with a wide choice of foods such as cereals, yoghurts, toasts, cakes together wih hot food such sausage, bacon , egg, tomatoes and mushrooms.

Dinners were five course affairs and were really good. With a first course, second course, main course, selections of desserts and cheeses. The food had a home made
quality to it. The waiting staff were attentive, very polite, friendly and accommodating.

If you had any room left after breakfast a buffet lunch, again excellent, consisting of salads, cold starters and some hot food, was also thrown in.

The month we arrived a new spa centre had opened. It was housed in a purpose built wing with a large spa pool on the ground floor which contained many wonderful gadgets such a jacussi at one end, bed spas to lie in, a pool area and massage jets. There were comfortable wooden loungers to lie on and look out at the garden and outdoor pool.

Upstairs was a sauna centre with a classic wooden sauna, a turkish bath, a relaxation room and illuminated mulitcoured showers which sprinkeld you with scents.

The hotel also had a great little garden to sit in and relax undet the sun.

Riva is well placed for tours of the norh west of Italy. There are many cute small towns to visit and lots of walks to do. It is also a mountain biker centre with good terraine to bike around in.

I would highly recommend the hotel and the region if you want a relaxing slow paced holiday with stunning scenery.
