If you stay at this hotel as self catered you only receive clean towels once a week. Arrived on a saturday afternoon (weather boiling hot all week) the three of us showering every day like normal. By the tuesday evening still no maid service and our towels were all absolutely filthy and we had even used our beach towels so went to reception to ask for some clean ones and we were charged about 13 euros for 3 towels! We've travelled abroad a lot and never been made to pay for clean towels before, couldn't believe it (they even suggested that we should wash their towels ourselves!!!)

Lovely comfortable hotel, very clean, staff friendly. We had rooms at front of hotel with FANTASTIC mountain view but it was very noisy with bin trucks & deliveries starting 5am. Noise not as bad with windows & patio door closed but we declined a/c as it was €70 extra per week and so had windows open. Deposit of €100 requested on check-in and no offer to refund this at check-out, we had to remember to ask. Kids club not good, carer had no interest. We left kids in 1 day and went in for coffee only to find our 5 year old wandering around the hotel looking for us and our other 2 kids aged 7 & 8 at the pool. Thankfully we hadn't left the premises. Would come back when kids older.

Room Tip: request room with balcony, remember to decline a/c or you pay for it whether need it or not

Me and my girlfriend went here as a couple so it will be reviewed as a couples experience, Staff were friendly and spoke plenty of english. room was cleaned every day by the maids. pool is a good size. There is a hot tub, football/ volleyball pitch and seemed plenty to do for kids of all ages (kids club etc). nice drinks at the bar, nice views of the mountians and the town. only 5 minute walk to lake. very nice location. The food was what u expect from a 3 star hotel, decent. breakfast was ok and there was plently of choice. The hotel was quiet the first week we stayed sometimes we had the pool to ourselves, the second week there was alot of children at the pool which sometimes became quite irritating. mini bar is far too tempting, however is reasonably priced, used the fridge for all my beer bought from the co op as its alot cheaper, just make sure if u do this u dont get caught as the hotel does state a charge for personal usage. if u stay here u must go to LA COLUMBERA its a reastraunt just up the road (oppisite way to the lake) fantastic restraunt. My stay here was fantastic, some things not so perfect but noting bad.

typical charges wifi €20 for ultd usage, safe €20 for 2 weeks, sunbed cushions €1 per person per day

riva is not far away about 20 mins. lake shore 5 mins. sunbathe, swim in the lake, wind surf, get a pedalow plenty to do

We're just back from beautiful Lake Garda staying at the Ambassador Hotel and what a hotel..Firstly i must say the staff here were fantastic,so friendly and nice they couldn't do enough to make our stay so perfect. The hotel is so relaxed and very central to everything. food in the hotel is lovely and a drink or two to wash it down is just what the doctor ordered.
You can relax by the generous size pool or hire a bike to take in the amazing views of the lake.We were very sad to say "Arrivederci" to the Ambassador Hotel and beautiful Lake Garda and it didn't break the bank either...value for money here....We will be back to stay at this hotel again, why not try it and make your own mind up? we did and loved every minute of it!
To the staff..again thankyou so much you were all amazing...oh yes Anna hope the "Plates of meat" are ok.
"Mille grazie"
