“Good Choice for Lake Garda stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 2, 2012

My husband and myself stayed here for 10 nights June 2012. First impressions werent that good but as we got to know our way around we found the hotel to be very central as you can walk by the lake or by the road to the town centre. The ordinary rooms are to the front of the hotel and the suites overlook the garden and the pool, the balconies are small with space for two seats only. The room service was very good and not intrusive at all. The breakfast is continential in a beautiful dining room or you can eat outside overlooking the garden. The bar is open form 10am to 10pm and is not used by the residents very much but is reasonably priced.. The Flora Icecream parlour is at the front entrance and can be noisey in the night if sitting out on the balcony but once the balcony door is closed it is totally soundproof and no street noise can be heard. I didnt find the staff that friendly but I think it is more Italian style as the staff in the restaurants in the town are the same. Everything about the area is great and there are loads to see and do. The pool area is beatuiful and spotless, the sunbeds are new and no outside noise. Dont miss the Wellness Centre is it brilliant. We were in Riva for the Football games and there was a great buzz.around. We will definetly go back to Lake Garda and would recommend Flora Parc.

Room Tip: If you can afford a suite do so as the views & the balconies are much better.

The hotel has modern facilities, a wellness area and a nice garden. It's position is central and we also got a good brakfast. There were only some minor drawbacks to make (no hotel information map at the room, very few indoor resting places in the wellness area)
All in all the hotel is a good choice for a stay at Riva.

Myself and my husband stayed in the Parc Hotel Flora for 2 weeks. The service and accommodation was excellent. The staff were so friendly and nothing was a problem. The room was lovely and the views were amazing. Ask for a room at the back of the hotel overlooking the beautiful gardens or at the side to get a view of the lake. The breakfast is top class with delicious freshly baked breads. The orange juice machine was a treat every morning. The hotel have city bikes free of charge and they were great for getting around. A cycle into Arco on the cycle path is a must, cycle by the river and the vineyards - the scenery is breathtaking. There are plenty of good restaurants which the hotel will advise you on and you can get a 15% discount when you give in the hotel's card when paying the bill. There are so many things to do in Riva. A trip to Malchesine & Monte Baldo is well worth while (boat and cable car). The pool at the hotel is very peaceful. There is 24 hr service and it is a very safe and friendly place to stay. Would definitely recommend a stay in this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the hotel.

lovely hotel but nothing special.. the suite's are a really good size, the normal rooms are just average with poor views..
Service is limited, only every 1 or 2 people looking after the hotel at one time. no room service!

not as close to the lake as the pictures make out.. 5min walk..

Room Tip: get a room on the top floor otherwise you don't get the view!

This was our fourth visit to this gem of a hotel. can't praise it enough. The room we stayed in - a "comfort" room - was immaculate and very well equiped. The pool is beautiful and never crowded. The spa is extremely impressive and (treatments aside) is included in the room rate. Breakfast is extremely varied - whatever your dietary requirements there will be something for you. The lake is accessed by a private pathway, and there is around a 15 - 20 minute stroll along the beautiful lakeside into the town. The very best restaurant in Riva is Al Volt - unsurpassed. However there are many nice cheaper eateries - the Chinese is good and very reasonable. Aound the Parc Flora are some good places to eat. The Christine - turn right out of the hotel and its a couple of hundred yards down - is excellent and very reasonable. Just across the road from the Christine is another very good eatery - can't remember what it's called but it has a "rafia" ceilling inside.

Walks - go round past the ferry point and follow the new promenade then take the path to the right of the road tunnel. This will take you up to the disused German WW2 billets which is interesting. You get wonderful views from here.
Go right out of the hotel to the marina. Take the steps to the right of the road tunnel at the back of the marina, which goes up above Riva and Torbole - fantastic views of both (and more German WW2 buildings).
Walk to the right of the road tunnel and follow the road round to Torbole to the first hotel on the beach - lovely place to sit and relax with a drink and watch the world go by. All these walks are easy and well worth the effort.

Room Tip: We had a room at the front - once doors are closed you can't hear any noise. Obviously rooms ove...

We stayed here over a year ago on our driving round the lakes holiday. This was our favourite hotel, loved the room, had a huge balcony. The spa was superb ( full use included), gorgeous pool. Great breakfast, friendly staff, nice gardens. Loved the location and the walk into centre along waters edge. The hotel staff gave us some good tips on other smaller lakes to visit north and west of Garda. We booked through Expedia. We are keen to return to this idyllic hotel.

Room Tip: Great spa! Pool and gardens pretty and tranquil.

Stayed 5 nights at Parc Flora in May 2012. Was sold by high rating on Tripadvisor.

On the negative side, the hotel is good 20 minute walk from the centre of Riva although that walk is along the lake side. A taxi costs 7euro from the centre.

The position of the hotel is a bit of a disappointment although not really a problem.

The hotel itself is very nice. The rooms are clean and modern and some with good views of the lakes. Ours was good but probably due to being on the forth floor. Never did sort out how to use the air conditioning in the room - very silly complicated controls.

The hotel does not have a dining room but there are so many good places to eat in Riva that this was not an issue. Breakfast was OK. Very geared to the continental market - lots of cheese and cold meats. They had a fresh orange juice maker which was great. There was scrambled egg and an egg boiler for boiled eggs. The rest was bread and tinned fruit. Had better.

The staff were all very freindly and helpful and the bar comfortable. There is a really good gelataria next door where you can also get drinks (draught beer).

All in a good place as a base to explore the lake. Comfortable veryclean and relaxing.

Room Tip: Lake view upper floor are best.
