My daughter and I have just returned home from this lovely hotel. I can honestly say this is the best hotel we have stayed in. Everything about it was brilliant - the location could not have been better (make sure you get a room with a balcony and lake view - it is well worth the few extra pounds!), the food was gorgeous with a different menu every day, and the staff could not have been more helpful and attentive. The hotel was spotlessly clean everywhere and the rooms were lovely, although the pillows could have perhaps been a little bit softer! We went with my mother and sister and they had a room next to ours so we had adjoining balconies; the staff had opened the gate between them so we could pop backwards and forwards which was great. The staff really went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay and were always happy and cheerful (a far cry from a hotel we stayed at in Venice last year!). The only fault we could find was the weather, and even that wasn't too bad really! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel, in fact for anyone going to Riva I think it's a must, although please be prepared to come home a few pounds heavier than you went - the food is very plentiful and gorgeous!! We had such a perfect holiday we have already decided to go back next year, and stay at the Hotel Sole of course! I have never written a review for anything before but I was so impressed with this hotel and the lovely people working in it, I just felt I had to!

Room Tip: Views from lake-view rooms are breathtaking, so book early because they soon get snapped up.

This hotel was extremely well placed right on Lake Garda and close to the shops. The staff were very friendly. There was a reasonably priced internet connection. The staff were very good and the food was delicious and there was plenty of it. The rooms were very pleasant although some may find them a little small. All in all a great holiday.

Room Tip: Try and get a room overlooking the lake although from my room I could see the clock tower and the mountains.

this hotel is fantastic and the views from the balcony are breath taking i got up every morning at 6,30 and sat on the balcony to watch the lake and the italians starting their day.make sure if you want a balcony with a lake view you email the hotel before you go..the food is sometimes hit and miss.

Room Tip: email hotel befor you go

See "worst 4 star hotel I have ever stayed in". Poor food for a 4 star, Rooms in annex lacked poor quality. Bulbs in bathroom over the sink did not suit the sockets. Threads did not match. Replacements were taped to make them fit!! Very dangerous! Bed moved away from headboard when sitting up. No easy chairs. Windows opened out to plastic sheeting over the cafe. No views from rooms 502,503 Our coach party was in a small dining room with very little room between tables. Service was abrupt and it wasn't possible to linger after a meal. We were once asked if we were waiting for breakfast!!! We travelled with Parrys International ,. The coach, driver and courier were first class although our complaints to the management , we feel, were not satisfactorily answered. All tthe comments made in the review mentioned above were relevent to our hoilday.

Room Tip: Don't accept rooms in the annex!!
