We decided this looked a decent place and off the beaten track, we were offered a well placed table although it wasn't as busy as it had looked the first time we walked past
Staff were at best reasonable, although I wonder why they choose this profession if it isn't something they like to do
We can tolerate a few grumpy waiters however the food; The risotto was totally disgusting, there was zero presentation and to be honest it did resemble a plate of vomit. The rice was hard and the sauce insipid, scattered with flimsy soft and bedraggled looking mushrooms. We thought this was bad until the mains.
I swear that my chicken came served with whatever sauce they had attempted to bring the first time, and my wife's scampi tagliatelle was worse than a student could make with limited budget or knowledge, containing no less than 3 pieces of scampi
I didn't eat the chicken, and we sent the tagliatelle back because it was cold, stuck together and gloopy. The waiter reported this to who we assumed was the owner or chef who came to the table, and took away the dish with no apology telling us how costly scampi was
The plate came back no different to how it was taken, maybe they took it to the kitchen and looked at it for 3 mins because it was no warmer and remained uneaten
It's disgrace to Italy and can't be called food, I told them I would not and did not pay for the mains, offering just to pay for the antipasta (of which we hadn't really said much to them about in fairness) and the drinks etc
Terrible awful food, I can taste it now writing about it.
