Stayed here for a week in July when touring the area with Riviera. Well worth every penny. Beautiful modern rooms, staff friendly and helpful. As for the food, it's been said before, but it's like eating in a top restaurant every night, authentic and delicious Italian food. Didn't have a single meal that wasn't of an excellent standard. Beware the scales that are provided in the rooms! The sun deck gives beautiful views and happy hour for cocktails is a must. The town centre is a 15 minute stroll away, but a lovely walk along the lake. We highly recommend this hotel

We stayed here for 6 nights in July and couldn't fault the place. The room was always spotless, the food was incredible (if you're on half board prepare to pile on the pounds!), the cocktails were delicious (thanks to Michel Angelo). The sky pool was beautiful and had the most amazing views. In the evening the pianist/singer Yari kept us entertained and there was a live jazz band on the night we arrived. The hotel was walking distance to the beach and town centre and there was also free bike hire, if you like that sort of thing. There's lots to do in the area and you can easliy get to the other towns on the lake by ferry or bus. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to couples and families with older children.

The Kristal Palace Hotel is a fantastic hotel to stay at, we booked direct with the hotel website and actually got a better price than booking with one of the 'big' companies, which meant we could upgrade to a 'premier' room which was on the large side, with calming pastel shades and a king size bed, on arrival we had a bottle of Prosecco and a bowl of fruit waiting for us.The room was well equipped and spotless, our room was on the 3rd floor which meant we had a beautiful view of the mountains when we sat on the balcony. The hotel is very modern and the rooftop pool and bar was amazing. There were great views of the Lake and the pool was heated!! There are plenty of sunbeds to chose from. The hotel gave 'free' hire of bikes which we used on a couple of ocassions. We cycled to Torbole along the very safe cycle track around the Lake which took approx 15 mins from the hotel and had great views to keep you interested!! We chose the half board option which was great value for money. You were always greeted with a glass of Prosecco followed by 'Chefs special', then a starter, salad bar, main course and finally sweet. There was always at least 4 choices for very course and the quality was always very good. We would definately recommend this hotel to friends and family, and would higly recommend this hotel if staying in Riva

The food was amazing, we opted for the half board option, all meals were to a high standard. Staff were friendly and attentive, special recognition to Anita! The rooftop pool and bar is awesome, peaceful with splendid views.
We would highly recommend this hotel when staying in Riva.

Just come back from a week at Hotel Kristal Palace. Booked our holiday through Monarch, which was cheaper than Thomson's by £300 which took into account that we had to spend £240 on a return taxi transfer (which we would recommend despite being quite costly).
Hotel is very clean and decor is modern. Only possible criticism was that the beds are twin and are put together so we missed our king sized bed at home.
Food was delicious and impressive for half board- for every evening we had a glass of prosecco, followed by "chef's special", then a starter which was pasta based/soup- there were 4 choices, then an optional salad bar which was very tasty, then onto resuming the main course of fish/meat/vegetarian and finally desert. We would definitely recommend the salad bar as the main course is typically Italian with limited vegetables and probably only potato.
The staff in the hotel, and in particular the restaurant were always polite and couldn't be more helpful- we need to mention Marco the maitre d' who was always smiling and even tolerated our rather dodgey attempts at Italian!! Talking to other guests who were also foodies they were all very impressed by the food- no courses were ever repeated over the whole week and there was a lot of choice on offer which make it difficult to choose!!!
Before dinner we would highly recommend Michelango's happy hour cocktails on the roof top which is between 6-7pm and cocktails are 50%, so 3/4 euros each which are very alcoholic!!- we had to lie down after our long island ice teas!!! Drinks at other times are quite expensive- 8 euro for a gin and tonic!!
We ate breakfast every morning in the main restaurant as other reviewers commented that there was less choice on the roof top. The buffet was extensive and it set us up for the day.
It is a medium walk 20+ minutes to the centre of Riva Del Garda (so older guests might find this a struggle), but it is a pleasant walk alongside the lake and it is located right next to the Co-Op which is useful for stocking up with bottles of water!
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay- best bits- happy hour cocktails, looking forward to our supper every night and piano playing in the restaurant and on the roof top after dinner. Only criticisms- beds (!), pool is a little too warm- quite like a warm bath- but we assume this is because it is on the roof top and it is exposed to lots of sun during the day.

We stayed for a week on half board in the hotel Krystal Palace and had a fabulous time. The hotel was one of the best we have ever stayed in.
The service was friendly, the food superb, interesting and generous. Every evening a glass of complimentary prosecco was served with an appetiser.
The rooms are not huge but it had everything we needed and the bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in.
We would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Riva del Garda.
