We stumbled upon this restaurant one evening strolling around Riva. The outdoor seating was comfortable and the service was fantastic. Our meal was very good - obviously fresh and all made in-house. I loved the family-run vibe and genuinely friendly staff. Everything you would expect from an authentically Italian Restaurant. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Leon D'oro was recommended to us by a friend in Rome, so despite some negative comments on this site we were determined to give it a try. We are so glad we did.
The staff were friendly, the food was great, the place was fantastic value for money and it introduced us to some authentic touches in Napoletan food.
After two pizzas we expressed interest in desert and were promptly presented with a cherry and custard cake accompanied by a plate of incredibly sweet and tasty mandarins, followed by a bowl of fresh donuts - a specialty of he house.
Total price for two pizzas, a bottle of red wine, a bottle of sparkling water, two pieces of cake, four donuts and four mandarins (and more if we wanted them) was 33 Euros, including the compulsory tip.
No, we did not order everything we ate, but we could not have done better ourselves.

What a lovely restaurant - good food, friendly knowledgeable staff and a sensible bill at the end of it all. We has escaped from the less than memorable food at our hotel to this haven. Anywhere that's serving Irish beef is taking a step in the right direction and all there's is Irish. It's an extensive menu which can keep you well fed for several nights without repetition. The prawn risotto was probably the highlight but it was a close run thing. And of the Romanian waiters bade us farewell in Gaelige - just to make us feel at home!

On our recent trip to Riva we received a recommendation to this restaurant. We walked over for lunch. We were very warmly received and took a table outside. The staff was very friendly and fun as we discussed food options. My wife ordered the ravioli and I had a salad dish with smoked salmon trout. Both dishes were outstanding, so much so that we decided to return for dinner that very evening. We reserved ahead and when we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the owner, a wonderful lady that was scurrying about the restaurant. Although the restaurant was crowded and several larger groups coming in a short while. She took us like family and escorted us to a wonderful table in the widow looking out to the street. The service was great and the waiter was quite jovial and brought several tables together in a fun exchange. This time my wife ordered the fresh wild porcini risotto in a Parmesan nest. It was terrific. Mine was a grilled fish dish, also wonderful. This was one of the best dining experiences we have had anywhere. Great Food, fine service, and a warm feeling on the walk back to our hotel.

We would recommend this restaurant to all.

We had such a lovely meal here on our first evening in Riva Del Garda, that we decided to go back for more the following evening.
The staff were very attentive and most of them spoke good English. We never felt rushed, even when stayed beyond closing time to finish our wine.
The highlight dish I think would have to be my wife's ravioli, we haven't tasted anything quite like it since, it was so flavorsome and delicate. And the tiramisu was the bomb. The cost of our meals were about 65 euro for 2 including house vino.
