The owner of this hotel is so friendly. Her English is not great but better than my Italian(!) so she went out of her way to get her daughter in to speak to us in English. Despite the language barrier she clearly tried very hard and was a warm and generous person. Rooms very clean, beautifully designed and with a ceiling fan which helped to keep you cool. Breakfast was excellent self service with the best coffee we have had for some time.

We stayed in Garni Hotello after our MTB tour over the Alps and the place offers everything a tired traveller can wish for: rooms are rather small but newly refurbished, there's a small garden where breakfast can be enjoyed and the owner is the most kind person. Breakfast is generous and "healthy" - there are the typical Italian breakfast items such as croissants and sweets but also ham, cheese, fresh fruit and yoghurt. The only real downside is that it's on a rather busy street & it's a bit loud.

Lovely decor and friendly staff. Rooms very basic, bathroom only 1m wide you have to sit on the toilet sideways. People were allowed to check in at 1.30am so was very noisy and then decided to stay up shouting and arguing till 6.30am. We may have just got a bad night. Limited parking spaces. Breakfast was good, everything fresh and tasty. Was booked in for 2 nights but cancelled 2nd night as we wanted a good night sleep. Location is ok, about 15min walk from Riva centre.

Fabulous, is the word that best describes my stay here. I have stayed here for my twice annual trips to Riva for the last couple of years, since I first found the hotel. Ran by husband and wife, Maurizio and Gulia, they can not make you feel more welcome and Maurizio is a great pastry chef. All bread, croissant and cakes for breakfast are made by himself and they are delicious!!! So now you know that breakfast is great here. Also if you feel like some pampering Gulia is a fantastic masseuse!
The rooms are all modern, contemporary design and spotlessly clean. The location is a 10-15mins walk into the beautiful town of Riva and about 20-25mins to Fiera. Maurizio will help with you any dinner reservations you need. They do not do dinner at the hotel and only have a small bar, but if there is something you want drink wise, Maurizio will also get it in for you if it is possible. The garden in the summer is wonderful, where you can sit and have breakfast or a drink anytime of the day. Fantastic small hotel with fantastic owners, you can not fail to fall in love with this place!

Room Tip: Its worth to book a room with a balcony!

This is a great option. Rooms are very nice and vey new. Not very big but with a comfortable size. Internet was available for free at the lobby, but it worked in our room after we logged in downstairs.
Breakfast area was also nice and the breakfast was good. Not a huge variaty of things but good enough and very tasty.
Location was good as it was aprox 10 blocks from the center and the lake. So if you don´t mind walking a few blocks this hotel is a great option.
Also, I selected it because it had free parking space. Reception was also very helpful and kind.
Definetively a superb option in Riva as price was very reasonable for the value received.

Considering its one star rating, this tiny hotel is an excellent example of good value for money: city centre within walking distance, functional rooms, good breakfast, very kind staff, very, very low price. I have never found such a good deal, considering the hotel rating , in a well known resort like Riva del Garda

Hotello is a great location to stay in Riva. Situated roughly 10 minutes walk from the center, it is relatively quiet (small street passing by with very limited traffic - in the morning there might be some motor bikes, one the garbage collection woke us up), has a small nice garden where breakfast is served and adequate rooms. Most rooms do not have a balcony, so make sure in the reservation what you want.
Breakfast is good, for Italian standards very good, although it is not American style (no eggs, no beans, etc.).
Owners are extremly friendly and helpful, speak perfect German and English.
I have stayed many times in Riva / Torbole, and so far this has been the best pick in the area. Definitely a recommendation.
