A beautiful old charming hotel on the Adriatic.
Furniture is very elegant , rooms are well decorated and well maintained , breakfast is so delicious , cuisine is refined , drinks are excellent. The hotel is only few steps from the beach. It can be a good choice for vacations as well as for meetings.
I have no remarks on the hotel. Everything is charming !!!

Returning to the Adriatic coast after 20 years with a very happy surprise. Even though the Adriatic Coast is not the most fashionable vacation place in Europe, there are some hidden gems to be discovered. One of them is the Grand Hotel des Bains in Riccione. We booked our stay via booking.com and were a bit unsecure as we have had some mixed experiences with four/five star hotels in Italy. This time we had the fortune that we had booked this hotel. The Hotel is very nice, kept in an old style - I would guess turn of the century (19th to 20th) however nicely renovated and up to date in all areas. Our rooms did not have a view of the pool area and were probably the smaller and simpler once of the hotel - but even these rooms were very well appointed and comfortable, nice beds, lovely linnen as well as bathrobe and slippers.
The outdoor pool is situated one floor above street level, which means that it is a bit more private. Breakfast - which always is a bit of chance in Italy - was good with all necessarities including scrambled and bacon.

All in all - I really recommend anyone who is heading for the Adriatic coast to check out this hotel.

Room Tip: Try to get one of the rooms on the first floor that has a terrace as well as access to the pool

A great hotel when attending Rimini Fiera. Very opulant fittings.
A fabulous American style bar, serving a great Aperol spritz.
Excellent breakfast buffet, and the most friendly and helpful staff who have been there forever. Definitely a hotel to return to.

We were fortunate to spend 2 nights at this beautiful hotel and cannot find fault with any aspect of our stay. From the moment we arrived, we found the staff welcoming and courteous. Our room was very spacious and luxurious with a gorgeous marble bathroom and great view of the pool area. Breakfast was the best we have ever found in Italy with lots of choice and all freshly prepared. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and hope to return very soon.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel! Lovely grounds, superb breakfast with endless choices of pastries, cereals, fruits etc. Very elegant and as a romantic getaway, it was perfect. The bedroom was huge, and furnished well, bed comfortable, marble bathrooms huge and well equipped with nice toiletries. Nice SPA.

My husband and I visited this hotel as part of our honeymoon. We stayed for 4 nights.
On arrival we checked in and then found our room which seemed as though it had not been used for a while, as it was frousty and smelled a little like cigarette smoke. The hotel and the room were non-smoking, but there was an ashtray in our room so we suspected that the previous occupant had in fact been smoking in there - not pleasant for us as non-smokers.
The hotel was dated and in need of a little refurbishment. It seemed like it could have been 5* in its heyday, but I would not class it as 5* now. However, the room was cleaned and the bed was made every day, with fresh towels twice a day. There was a pool at the hotel but we did not use it.
The best bit about the hotel was the breakfast. It was served until 12 noon every day, so we made the most of having a late breakfast every day and not needing lunch! There was a huge selection of food on offer and the waiting staff were very attentive and helpful.
The town itself, whilst pleasant, was not yet properly open for summer so the beach and most of the attractions were closed. We did hire bikes from the tourist information office and cycled up and down the various cycle routes around the town. We also found lots of nice gelato shops nearby!
Overall, I would not visit this hotel again.

We stayed August 6, 2013. The front desk staff are friendly and courteous but on checkin we were taken to a room that was very small and the air conditioning barely worked. For an additional 60 Euros we were moved to a larger room that was acceptable. Reminded us of Mexico where they tend to put you in the worst room they have so you will pay an upgrade fee. The pool is nice but the service at the pool bar/restaurant was non-existent. The service and atmosphere in the lobby bar was outstanding, as good as we have experienced anywhere. The lady playing the piano was also a nice touch. The breakfast was as to be expected from a 5 star hotel that charges 262 euros per night for a regular room plus 20 Euro to park a car.
