My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights, a few nights ago. We decided to go for the HB option as we were arriving late. The rooms are basic but had a triple aspect view of the sea. It was amazing! At night, we fell asleep listening to the sound of the ocean. The food was lovely. Great pasta and lovely fish, although the main portion felt a bit small. It was however quite good value compared to most places on the Amalfi. The owners are really friendly and helpful. The little terrace in the sea is just amazing - we sat in the sun and could just jump into the sea whenever we wanted to. Definitely book it... It is a low key B&B in a beautiful part of the Amalfi coast.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view!

We escaped the 'English Summer' for a little bit of paradise. Just what was needed to get away from all the rain. To wake up to the shimmering reflection of the sea on the bedroom wall was magic. Food fabulous. Wonderful locally sourced food and delicious wine. Very attentive staff, nothing was too much trouble. What more could we ask for. Certainly hope we return.

Returning to Villa San Michele for the second time was like going home after a long absence...a truely exciting experience. As usual we were warmly greated by Emiliano On the leisurely walk to our seaview room we passed thru the magnificent and varied gardens and patios, loveingly cared for by the family.
Personal touches and attentions abound. Our ample luggage was personally brought to our room down several flights of stairs by Emiliano and his son. The views are from a movie or travel video of Italy. Gormet dinners, lunches and breakfast are expertly prepared by Nicola, his wife. They are something to look forward to daily and are to die for. The rooms are bright and cheery, nice and well kept daily by the staff. The villa always spottless, well placed and convenient to the Amalfi coast, by walking, driving, boat, taxi or bus. The walk to the Villa"s swim platform seaside is picturesque, good exercise, but well worth it. Sundays are especially nice as Nicola, Emiliano and their son come down for a swim to keep in shape. If you want a wonderful, personal experience don't miss this place and it's delightful owners.

This is an amazing place. The views are simply stunning.
The rooms aren't very modern, but they're comfortable and clean. The only noises that can take your sleep away are from other guests banging the doors of their rooms. Some people simply aren't very considerate to others.
The breakfast is simple, but very good. Fresh fruit. Great cappuccino. The dinner... well, that's the highlight of the hotel. There aren't many options, and they change the menu every night, but whatever they have to offer is amazingly delicious. Mind how much you can eat, and ask for half portions so you can have all the courses and even taste the gorgeous desserts.
The staff is very helpful and friendly. Poor guys took our very heavy luggage all the steps up and down.
And there are lots of steps in this hotel. Perfect to burn all those calories you got in the dinner.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a big balcony.

We stayed 3 nights, 2 adults and 2 kids, in spring. Room for 4 was large and quiet. This is a very charming place. Do not miss mamma's cooking, it is absolutely great: anti pasti, pasti and fish or meat, desert of course, all typical italian, better than what you will find in many restaurants!

My wife and I have recently returned from villa San Michele. It was our first visit to the Amalfi Coast. Difficult to find words to describe our emotions. The location of villa is perfect with nice view from the rooms. The rooms are without luxuries but quite comfortable. The food (we had half-board) was excellent. The owners are very hospitable and friendly. We highly recommend this hotel. You won't be disappointed. We will definitely come back here again. We had the best vacation ever!

Our 2nd stay at Villa San Michelle in 5 years...It's a long way from Australia, but worth every minute of the 30 hour trip. Everything about this hotel and it's wonderful location is special. The owners who remembered us, the same room, the beautiful view, swimming from your own private "rocky" beach, the fresh home cooked dinners of fresh pasta and seafood. Everything as we remembered, a truly wonderful holiday. We will be back, though hopefully sooner this time
