A bit of a hike if you are older and/or out of shape if walking from the center of Ravello. The gardens are amazing as are the views.

What a fantastic tranquil place to visit. The gardens are magnificent and the lunch at Villa Cimbrone was devine! In the hot June weather the garden were a wonderful place to relax and the crowds dissipated into the expansive gardens. Next time we will be staying at the Villa. Whether staying at the Villa or visiting for lunch, expect to pay high prices but it's worth it. However, entry into the gardens is not expensive.

Good map showing all the key places of interest from the statue of David & Goliath to the Infinity Terrace and about a dozen others. A very colonnial English country garden feel, with a more formal plan than the nearby Villa Rufulo. More romantic I think too. Great place for adults and kids alike to explore, although the 300m sign back in the main square is surely an underestimate unless I was already frazzled by the sun. The infinity terrace is STUNNING with an uninterrupted view to Pontone and Torre dello Zirro ruins on the headland between Amalfi & Atrani. Unfortunately too busy with people to get clear photos - I'm guessing you'll need either a very early start or a last minute entry to get that money shot. Views alone are still stunning though. Wonderful. It is each individuals tastes that would determine Rufulo vs Cimbrone if you were only visiting one - I prefer the less formal Rufulo and its views, but others would prefer the more regimented layout of Cimbrone and probably its views are less interrupted and more varied, especially from that magical infinity terrace.
