Even if you shy away from tourist-y attractions, you must visit Villa Cimbrone. The views are absolutely breathtaking and not to be missed!! We didn't do a tour-- the beautiful gardens are so pleasant and relaxing to walk through on your own. We went during the daytime, but if we ad more time, this would have been a gorgeous place to go at dusk.

This was a nice peaceful villa ... A little smaller than I expected, but the views were great! Definitely worth a visit!

After a walk from the town center we arrived at the villa. Entrance was promising. After we had payed our 6 Euro's we came in a garden in great need of new plants, re-decoration, paint, cleaning... The view's are great (but these views are also availlable at no cost at any place along the coastline). I wonder why and who benifits from the money we payed for the visit. I don't think anyone should pay any money to visit the gardens at this moment. We hope they read my review and stop the neglication of the gardens, they surely have potentional. At this moment: don't go!

The view from the Gardens was outstanding. It was early spring so there was limited flowering of the plants, however, the garden was in serious need of tending and showed signs of neglect.
