My wife and I have just come back from a week at Hotel Rufolo to celebrate her birthday. Having stayed at many seriously good (and great) hotels around the world, Hotel Rufolo is now one of our very favourites. EVERYTHING was outstandingly good. The bedroom and bathroom were large, very comfortable and spotlessly clean, the food was excellent and the ambiance restful, with comfortable lounges and sun terraces - all again spotless. The garden has an excellent swimming pool and several "hidden" garden areas and terraces, all with plenty of seating to enjoy that fabulous views which are the very best in Ravello. The location is 100 meters from the main square but without any of the noise. However, the care taken by all the staff under the professional and friendly guidance of Sra Schiavo was the most outstanding memory of this hotel that already has many superlatives. Everything from a gorgeous bouquet of flowers in the room to airport transfers were faultlessly organised. We arrived at almost midnight and a cold but delicious meal awaited us in our room. The unfailing smiles from the attentive but never obtrusive staff made our stay thoroughly enjoyable. We would like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt thanks to all those who made our stay so special.

Room tip: Do get a junior suite which have large sitting rooms as well as terraces with fantastic views. Room 211 is a real winner!

Having stayed at two other hotels previously in Ravello I was finally able to get a room at Hotel Rufolo. Our room was very nice and spacious with gorgeous view but the real strength of this property is its location, staff and beautiful terrace. Nothing was too much trouble and many a leisurely breakfast was spent looking over the Bay of Naples and Villa Rufolo. We did not want to leave. Can't wait to go back... Next time for more than 3 days.

The location is so close to the bus station and a close walk to the other sights in Ravello. Our room was so spacious with a balcony overlooking the sea. The staff were super helpful. Very fine hotel.

Room tip: Request a balcony

A wonderful hotel in a beautiful town. All of the rooms have a stunning view out over the bay, and the hotel is perfectly located a short walk from the main square. The staff were all very friendly and efficient. Breakfast out on the terrace was superb, we could have wanted for nothing more!

Wonderful hospitality, welcoming staff who were very helpful without being overpowering. Stunning views from the terrace and restaurant. Beds divinely comfortable. Will be returning with any luck.
Great breakfasts.

Room tip: Ask for a sea view it's worth it.
