nicely decorated in classic luxury taste, Plazzo is beautiful inside and out.
Also stuff are very friendly here.
there is outside bar you can have a drink at looking over the view of amalfi coast. or you can dine at their restaurant which is michelin star.
rooms are smaller than expected but nicely decorated.
their garden and the pool is very very nice. perfect get away place for couple or even family.
close to center of Ravello.

We booked one night here two days into our stay in Ravello after another hotel did not live up to expectations. The decision to switch helped turn around our stay. Everything about this hotel was exceptional, from the immaculate grounds, to the beautiful room with a view of the Amalfi coast, to the incredible service from everyone we interacted with. The added bonus was a beach club/villa 15 minutes away with a shuttle that goes regularly back and forth. The hotel is expensive but after comparing it with what was supposed to be a 4 star hotel I would pay the extra money every time. Thanks to the incredibly helpful front desk staff and Guisipe from the beach club for a great (way too short) stay. Our only regret of our 11 day trip was not staying here the entire 3 days/nights in Ravello.

The minute you walk in and experience the welcome from the front desk staff led by Antonio you know this place is special.
I cannot think of another place in the world that I feel more at home.
Beside the unequalled attention from the entire staff from front desk to food service to housekeeping to valet you feel that you are part of a family but in the most idyllic setting on earth!
I hope to return soon and until then will be dreaming of my time this year.

My husband and I spent 6 nights this past September, 2013. We were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary and decided to start our 2 week journey of Italy on the Amalfi coast. We wanted to experience Italy but also wanted a place to just chill. Palazzo Avino was that perfect place. The town of Ravello is charming, quiet and not that touristy compared to places like Positano or Sorrento. The hotel is absolute perfection! Every single staff member encountered couldn't do enough for you. From that first smile of Antonio's on being greeted upon arrival, to Victorio's pleasant nature every morning at breakfast, to Stephano making the perfect pre-dinner Martini, one couldn't feel more embraced. The facilities are meticulously taken care of, the place is immaculate in every corner at all times. The view is amazing, the less casual terrace restaurant was out of a dream; the food was excellent. The pasta's over the top. Rossillini's was a lovely experience but not worth the price. One thing I did wrong was I tried to save a few bucks on the room. Definitely upgrade and get a larger room with a view. The place is pricey but well worth it. You are surrounded by utter beauty, professional staff and more than excellent facilities and food.
John and Florence, Staten Island, NY

Room Tip: Definitely get a larger room with a view of the sea.

We stayed here for three nights when we got married. I cannot believe that a place like this exists. The first impressions are indicative of the whole experience. Professional staff, amazing decor. Our room faced the sea and I would never stay here without paying the extra for a sea view. We woke to the sunrise every morning through our open window. I will actually take the time and trouble to post a photo of it, which I never normally do. The view is stunning with the distant cliffs and sea to the various levels of the gardens and pool below. The pool was amazing and beautifully finished with flower gardens and green grass surrounding it. I thought there might be an unpleasant wind on the top of the cliff but there was none. It was very relaxing lazing on the recliners whilst the friendly, professional staff brought (expensive) drinks and magnificent food. There is an option to take a 10 minute shuttle bus to their secondary site on the Mediterranean sea and it is worth it for the experience. The facilities there are very good but not on par with the main hotel. I would only spend maybe 4 hours as you have to commit to a drop off and pick up time. Book early to get your preferred times. Breakfast was perfect and do they know how to cook eggs! Again, professionalism of the staff is impeccable. Enough gushing. We stayed for a special occasion and justified the cost with that. Now I have to think up another special occasion so we can visit again. The town itself is small and very picturesque. The garden next to the hotel was perfect to use for our wedding.

Room Tip: Don't be tight. Get the ocean view

Palazzo Avino is a lovely hotel situated in a wonderful spot in one of the loveliest villages we have ever visited.

We had a very special 3 night visit. The room (junior suite - sea view) was superb. Beautiful views & space & comfortable bed & chairs. It was spotlessly clean & felt newly refurbished.

The bathroom - actually a little on the small size - was well equipped, impeccably clean & nice products.

The terrace restaurant & the michelin starred Rosselinis were comfortable with great views & good food. We had a great meal in Rosselinis with a dessert to die for - primervera in fiore !

But what makes it special (beside the fabulous views) is the care taken by staff - they were so pleasant & helpful. It was a treat staying there.

Oh & the spa was very good & reasonably priced.

If I had one criticism it was that sound proofing was not perfect but I can honestly say that we were so relaxed & happy in the Avino it didn't matter & we didn't lose a moments sleep.

Room Tip: If you can get a sea view room although to be honest the views of the mountains & village would...

My husband and I just spent two nights here last week. It is the absolute most incredible of hotels. It is definitely worth getting a sea view room if you can as the view has got to be one of the most spectacular in the world. The hotel just oozes perfection everywhere you go. The breakfast spread is the best we had on the Amalfi Coast. The "clubhouse" down by the sea made for one of the nicest afternoons of our entire lives.... Giuseppe and the rest of the staff down there just can't do enough for you! We are fortunate enough to have eaten in many high end/ Michelin Star restos. and personally didn't think that Rossellini's was worth the price tag at all; but a lovely setting none the less. The martini bar is a great place to sit outside and enjoy a drink before dinner. Jacqueline at the front desk is a lovely person to deal with and very helpful. Hotel location couldn't be better for Ravello. Top notch all around!
