Description: Famed for its superb selection of fresh, local Mediterranean dishes, Belmond Hotel Caruso's Belvedere Restaurant offers diners an unforgettable experience. Chef Mimmo di Raffaele takes guests on a tantalising journey of discovery. Traditional Italian specialities inspire innovative dishes. Dine in the elegant indoor dining room, the atmospheric outdoor terrace, or in the al fresco area close to the pool, surrounded by ancient rose bushes.

The Belvedere at the Hotel Caruso is indeed a beautiful restaurant, and the service is equally superb. That said, it was difficult to fully enjoy the meals we had as the exorbitant costs seemed unrealistic to the actual products. While my fish selection was 'good', it was not 'off the charts' as brilliant as the price would call for, and the portions were what you'd expect in a 'small plates' cafe. That said, the view from the Belvedere is an absolute Ten Star experience, and the young wine steward was very helpful and professional in suggesting a pairing for my wife's meat and my fish selections. And yes, the Taurasi Red was indeed wonderful!

Worth the trip up to Ravello - stunning view out by the infinity pool. Best service, best pizza of our trip, and great recommendation for wine. You can't go wrong - don't go anywhere else in Ravello, this was worth every penny.

Had lunch here today as wanted to see the hotel I had stayed in 23 years ago when it had not been 'done up' by the Orient Express group. The restaurant was not busy and we had a table overlooking the most amazing view of the coast. Lunch was lovely but we just had a starter and a pasta course - plus of course the very lemony trio of deserts. A local white wine was very good - Furore. And it was great as they looked after our car out front to save us from needing to find parking and the change to feed the meter!
Recommend this for lunch but it is expensive - 220 euros overall for the two of us.
