We arrived in Ragusa without booking a hotel and in a rainstorm. The tourist office in the upper town suggested this hotel but their instructions on how to get there in a car were less than helpful. Eventually in desperation we parked the car in a residents-only area and found the place on foot. The moral of this is... ask the hotel where to park before setting off. The rain stopped and our welcome was warm and helpful. We were given a card to display in the windscreen that allowed us to park legally in the residents-only bays. The hotel was furnished with antiques and our room was comfortable and pretty. There is a courtyard at the front with tables which I am sure are well used in warmer weather. The location is excellent and we enjoyed a pleasant walk around Ragusa Ibla before eating in a local trattoria. The breakfast next morning was excellent. Very highly recommended

We've been touring Sicily for some two weeks, tried different styles of accomodations, hotels, b&b's, agriturismo (farm stay); most of the time we had good experiences, but this one beats them all! It is excellent all over! They were helpful on the phone to describe how to get there and where to park; the friendly welcome, the romantic staircase, the room, spacious, clean, decorated with taste, the facilities, wifi and tv, the incredible variety at breakfast time, the location (right in the historic centre of Ragusa Ibla) and the price! (we paid 80 EUR for a double room).
RECOMMENDED!

Room tip: we had room 111 and it was great!

Just spent a few days at this lovely hotel!! It was absolutely perfect, everyone was so helpful from Pina to Chiara to Giuliana. The location is perfect only 4 blocks from the Duomo. It is like a return to old world Italy! They are also able to help with parking which is essential.

We had three nights here snd highly recommend it. Staff friendly, hotel quiet, bed comfortable, breakfast amazing variety. And all right in the centre of beautiful Ragusa. We were there for a festa and the atmosphere in town was great.

Room tip: Room 117 spacious with sofa and armchair for relaxing.

We stayed here as part of a walking group. The hotel is a short walk from the nearest coach drop off point and the bus stop for buses from Ragusa Superiore. Our room was large and overlooked rooftops and the local football/tennis area but was very quiet. There are rooms with small balconies overlooking small roads. The room was well equipped and the bathroom perfectly satisfactory. The shower was on the small side but there was always plenty of hot water and good supply of toiletries and towels.
The breakfast was amazing - good choice of local meats and cheese, fresh juices and an unbelievable selection of Sicilian cakes and pastries. The staff were helpful and polite, always ready with advice and to serve a nice cold beer or glass of wine in the jasmine scented courtyard. All the main sights, as well as restaurants and bars in Ragusa Ibla were in walking distance and our visit was further enhanced by coinciding with the festival to the local saint 'San Giorgio' - amazing light show on the Cathedral and spectacular fireworks. Everything a small family run hotel in rural Sicily should be.

Room tip: Would loved to have had one of the rooms with small balcony, but probably noisier than the rooms at the back.
