Exceptionally good breakfast. Very friendly staff. Good clean room with good AC....it was very hot outside!
View from balcony over pretty garden opposite. Difficult to approach by car at weekends when some roads closed. We were rescued by a friendly local who led us to the Hotel. Easy parking on narrow street right outside hotel.
Walk to good restaurants in all directions. Good value and we would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: A room overlooking street. Overlooks gardens and roof tops.

The Hotel Il Barocco in Ragusa Ibla is locatet in the lower part of the old city.
The rooms are quiet and nicely decorated.
Everything in Ragusa Ibla is within walking distance from the hotel.
The breakfast buffet was gorgous.
About 20 different cakes and sweets to choose from,
5 different kind of sicilian ham, cheese, cereals and much more.

Room Tip: Room 111 is quiet

My second visit and as usual not let down. comfortable rooms, and incredible breakfast, and very helpful staff. This tiny village of Ibla, has alot to boast in a very small area. Thanks again for making us feel welcome.

Ragusa Ibla is a magnificent town that was rebuilt in the baroque style after the original town fell to an earthquake in the 1600's. 20 years ago, the town was in decay, but it's slowly being polished up to it's former glory. Hotel Il Barocco is a hidden gem, that feels overshadowed (in a good way) by the nearby palaces and cathedrals.

I stayed here in May 2012 and had a very good experience. The rooms are comfortable, and fairly large, but the noise travels between them. The night porter lounged around on the sofa in the common area watching TV, this too carried down the halls ways and into the rooms. The place is spotless - the smell of cleaning products ever present, some like this, I don't. Front desk staff, and the owners are friendly, and extremely helpful. Breakfast was good and very abundant, and the night porter was always happy to make a cappuccino for us when we were up long before breakfast started. Cocktails in the garden were a great way to end the day, not to mention the samples each night of lemoncello and madarino...

I'd stay here again in a flash!

If it seems like I rate everywhere I stay quite high, it's probably because I do a ton of research first, including at times checking the hotels out in person before I stay.

Room Tip: Try to get one of the two rooms in the "dependance" which is a separate little building in the garden courtyard.
