but pay attention , if you pay less you will get less concerning food. That's absolutely true.
Anyway good food, beautifull accomodation, sports ok,nothing to say. Many thanks to Samuel (poker) who was always very kind and was able to stand unpolite players and prepare a match.
Thanks to Kevin (tennis) because clever boy.Not thanks to GO of water sports by the beach.
There's a good museum called Camarina Museum.Just exit the Club, turn left,13 minutes walk down the street and you will get it.Otherwise you follow the path which start in the right side of the Club beach just where the beach ends. The museum is the yellow house over the ill.Just few minutes. There are coins , anphoras etc etc.

ITALIANO:bel posto, buon cibo, qualità,pulito.

DEUTCH:Man muss hier kommen um die umgebungen to kuchen.

Bon vacances.

I took my 3 children aged 5, 8 and 9 to club med in Sicily, Kamarina. I hadn't been to a summer club med since I was a G.O. myself about 25 (!) years ago. It was disappointing as my kids did not want to go to the kids club as it was 100% french and french speaking, although they promised English speaking staff and even Hebrew but it was just not welcoming to those who are not French. Also, our room, as most others, were located on a path, at 3am all the teenagers returning from the nightclub made a huge noise and woke us up. The food, although very plentiful was of poor quality. Worst was the morning coffee from ghastly machines, the decent coffee was available only after 09:30 when the bar opened. Staff was mostly friendly but not at the sailing, one of the key attractions, they were not forthcoming in helping me get my children sailing, it was mostly full, no time or room to take my kids on the Catamarans, disappointing. Finally the shower was terrible, smelled of sewage and despite my complaint it was not fixed during our stay. I will probably not return.

Room Tip: Not close to the bar or main attraction area.

Club Med Kamarina was our first visit to an all inclusive resort, we went with our Daughter, Son-in-Law and two Grandsons, 14 & 10. There was something for all of us. The resort is set in beautiful gardens which are very well looked after. We had a suite, which was superb, sea views, espresso machine, two bathrooms, free soft drinks mini bar, all spotlessly clean. The towels were changed regularly. The pools are looked after well, always clean with plenty of sun beds (It is a shame that some people still leave their towels on them to save them, even though you are asked not too)
The food is excellent, so much choice. Our favourite was the Italan, sitting out on the terrace at lunch time with stunning views all around was perfect. The fish restaurant was good, always plenty of room and great food.
We stayed in the hotel which was a lot quieter than the village. It was nice to have so much choice, two beaches, two pools, plenty of restaurants and two great beach bars. The boys enjoyed the activities, they didn't join the clubs but they still had a great time, tennis, swimming, football etc. It was nice they could wander off on their own without us worrying about them.
The shows and entertainment again, were excellent. The staff looked after us so well and were always so friendly, nothing too much trouble.
I certainly hope we will return.....

After Gregolimano 2 years ago we thought Kamarina couldn't be as good but it was although it is very different. We were initially daunted by the size of the site and not impressed by the plated meals on our arrival but the following morning all seemed good. All staff but 2 very friendly, rooms basic but spotless, ample food and loads to do if you want to be energetic. As English we were very much in a minority but we quite enjoy that. A few thunderstorms unfortunately but weather soon clears up. 3 out of 4 of us were ill with tummy problems on day 2 but are almost certain this was not due to Club Med food.Would recommend cycle trip to Montalbano's village.

Room Tip: If in the Villaggio ask for upper floor as then don't hear people walking around

We stayed in Kamarina 7 nights in July 2013. Having been to other Club Meds (3 and 4 tridents), I was told this village (3 tridents) is the company's largest, so be prepared to walk and walk!. I'm sure it must have been wonderful years ago; nowadays, maintenance is urgently needed in some areas.
The resort has two sections: the Villagio (nicer, for me) and the Hotel (very impersonal but quieter), each of them with its own pool (the one at the Villagio is enormous).
We had two double bedrooms in the Villagio, one with twin beds for our teenage children and one with double bed for my husband and I. Rooms were large but very dated. No decoration, no bedskirt, towels and linnens needed urgent replacement. Bathroom dated as well, good shower though. Convenient hangers outside the bedrooms to dry wet clothes. In short, rooms followed old Club Med philosophy: basic rooms than invited you to stay outdoors - and they surely did.
Conversely, food was very good, with typical italian dishes, delicious fruit and vegetables. Staff was kind and helpful.
There is a main restaurant in the center of the Villagio, near the bar and the pool. The hotel has its own main restaurant. Reservation is required for the other two restaurants (Italian specialties /Seafood). These restaurants have awsome views, be sure to go early to experience the breathtaking sunset.
The sandy beach is 5 min. walk from the center of the Villagio, and it is really wide and beautiful. It has a beach bar where you can have snacks day-round and a light lunch. Watersports include sailing and kayaking in the blue but transparent waters of the Mediterranean sea.The hotel has its own beach, nice as well.
There is a well-kept football (soccer) field. Minigolf is not really an option, and circus is mounted on a kind of basquetball court (not as inviting as in other CM resorts). Tennis is the resort's highlight.
Internet access is weak, only in the Villagio center. There is a Hertz location at the hotel where we rented a car and drove up to Rome.
Lots of teenagers and children. Sometimes we forgot we were in Italy: most guests were French (at least, I could practice my French, which is the most spoken language in the resort).
As always in Club Med, the purpose of our trip was totally fulfilled: relax, enjoy and forget about your wallet and watch.
Even though I had greater expectations and felt disappointed at first with the rooms and the maintenance of some resort areas, we spent a wonderful week in Sicily.

We had been apprehensive about the references to outdated accommodation but it was comfortable, air conditioned and , though close to the centre of things, quiet. The food is incredible - a massive variety of really delicious and interesting regional dishes available in different restaurants, laid out alongside more child-pleasing fayre. An abundance of activities - sailing dinghies and kayaks all in ready supply when we wanted them - and tennis lessons good. The swimming pool was large, perfect temperature and didn't ever feel too crowded even in mid-August. The beach was wonderfully quiet. From beginning to end the staff were friendly and helpful. None of us wanted to come home and we'd definitely go back.

The food was abundant and first rate buffet style ...even my wife who refuses to eat anything not bought in whole foods loved the food as did my kids...the rooms were nice and well air conditioned ...28 red clay tennis courts were in superb condition...the largest swimming pool I have ever seen...the all inclusive bar was well stocked....the only negatives were the flies and the heat and none of the guests were Americans
