What a romantic room! We had a king suite – absolutely stunning! Four poster bed and the softest linen sheets. Beautiful furnishings. A multi-jetted shower. A cozy colourful sitting room with a fruit basket and selection of teas for our arrival. A balcony with city views. We were on the top floor so we also had a beautiful beamed ceiling. Of course that meant there were stairs to get there and wifi wasn’t available in our room due to its location. Very quiet AC and a quiet location plus I could use the wifi in the reception area.

Amazing service. We pulled into a nearby piazza and called Daniela. She came and met us to show us where to park. Giovanni came and helped with our luggage. He also brought breakfast to our room in the morning and oh was it lovely – fresh buttery pastries, fruit, omelette, juice, ham & cheese on toast, yogurt and pizza buns.

But here’s the truly amazing part – they did my laundry!! I hadn’t been able to find a laundry place so she offered to do it as if it was no big deal. It was a huge deal to me I can tell you.

Also loved the location. Easy 10 minute walk into the centre of town. Plus the B&B is located right near the stairs that take you down into Ragusa Ibla – the old section. Take a taxi back though.
I can’t imagine a more perfect B&B or a more lovely family.

Daniela and Giovanni worked overtime to make our stay a pleasant one, and I appreciate their efforts. We did not, however, read their last-minute e-mail on how to get to the property, spending several hours trying to figure out its location. We finally called them, and Daniela quickly located us (we actually were rather close) and guided us safely in. Be sure of the directions before you arrive. Once there we were treated royally, but like any residence some things didn't work at first. In this case, the hot water. Again, be sure you know which buttons should be on. As for Ragusa, it's full of interesting places but also steep climbs, which made for a difficult beginning to our extended stay. Breakfasts were large and good, and were an excellent start for the day. Parking turned out to be an adventure each day (Giovanni parked the car for us the first night) and was critical in getting our luggage from the car to the inn. We had a room on the third floor, which was a taxing climb for someone with bad knees. The room itself was comfortable with a good view of Ragusa Ibla. We had originally planned to stay for 5 nights, but opted to leave after three and head for the beaches. Again, our hosts were most hospitable and energetic.

Room Tip: Higher floors have great views but require a hefty climb.

Daniela and John were such perfect hosts. The accommodation was perfect and finished to a very high spec. We felt like royalty.

Daniela's instructions about where to drive to and park the car were spot on, which meant that we found the accommodation very easily.

The views from the room were stunning down to the Ibla. Breakfast was served in our room, the variety on offer was a welcome delight to the other basic Sicilian breakfast that we have been given throughout our trip.

The Ibla itself was great to explore. Hard work getting back (we counted more than 299 steps!). The cathedral area was beautiful and the other plaza was a joy to sit and have a beer while people watching. A very relaxed way of life.

We stayed at Giumbabulla for 4 nights, just after our wedding in Ragusa: our aim was to completely relax and recover after weeks of hectic preparations. The intimate and cosy atmosphere was just perfect for this.

Despite being very late on our very first night, our host Daniela and her husband were still waiting for us with a smile: this already denotes how much they care about their guests. We had a lovely dinner in our suite, and during our suite we also moved to 2 other suites. Greatly recommended the new suite Newport, where we also enjoyed a massage.

Overall we loved our stay and we also went to Ibla one night using the 299 steps, visiting the Il Duomo restaurant.

We will be back for sure.

Just before the arrival at this structure we were contacted by the owner, Danielle, who offered important information about free parking, since we traveled by car and parking is a problem here. Very central location,on a quiet side street,at the intersection of Ragusa with Ibla, you have only a small idea of what is in this beautiful place from the pictures you see at booking.
Welcomed by Danielle, who insisted to helped us with luggage,we entered in our room, like in fairy talles.
Room was big, very clean, nice oriental influence design, bed very comfy.
Breakfast was delivered on a tray in our room, you can say what you prefer to eat before and you get what you want. In the room there is possibility to make a tea, there is a fruit basket and the mini bar was full.
All in all,a very good place to stay while visiting Ragusa !

Perfect location and lovely, themed rooms meant to provide an 'intimate' atmosphere which made us feel like frauds given our advanced age! Daniela forgot a few items for our first breakfast but no such problems on the second day and we enjoyed our time here. Her attention to detail is such that she was devastated that I didn't see her solicitation to let her help us with directions and so didn't reply. We appreciated the free bottle of local wine and her recommendations for restaurants. Parking was no problem. Ragusa, upper and Ibla, is a lovely town and we even enjoyed the 299 steps, down and up to Ibla.

The guest house’s location is ideal in that it is right at the intersection of Ragusa and Ragusa Ibla. The hosts are lovely and our room (the Indy) had a very nice bedroom, sitting room, and bathroom with walk in shower. We had paid for the wine/appetizer welcome and found that the food provided was enough for a dinner that night. Although we had selected white wine, knowing that my husband really liked red wine, the hosts gave us a complimentary bottle of Nero d’Avola, which in addition to their coming to meet us in Piazza dell Carmine in the rain to help us with our luggage speaks volumes about their graciousness and customer service.
The only option for breakfast is having it brought to you in your room, which is nice, but you need to let them know the day before what time you would like breakfast, so it’s not optimal if you like to have more flexibility. Wifi is easily accessible in the rooms. The location is ideal: you walk down the stairs to the right to go to Ibla or left to go to Ragusa. We helped several tourists staying in either Ragusa or Ibla find their way to the other each day because of the ease of finding our way, given our location. The location is also wonderful for taking spectacular photos of Ibla by night from the top of the stairs leading to Ibla. It looks like a nativity scene.
Our room was described as having a panoramic view, but the direct frontal view was of the hills behind the main road leading to/from Ragusa and, if you looked left, to part of Ibla. The room was also on the top floor with no elevator, which for us was not a problem but may be for others. It is a residential area, so one needs to understand that these are not unimpeded views, but ones that have nearby houses, buildings, and streets in front of the panoramic vistas. The balcony is quite small, allowing only space to stand. As many have indicated, it is difficult to get to Piazza Carmine initially, even with navigation devices, but once there, your car is parked and safe and it is easy to get out of the city once you’ve mastered getting in! Ragusa and Ragusa Ibla are amazing.
Overall, very good accommodations, lovely hosts, and ideal location to access sites and restaurants.
