One of the true delights of traveling is discovering a gem of a place when you are not looking for one or even expecting one. This happened to us in Ragusa. We were cold and hungry and just looking for a quick bite to warm up and rest for a bit. We were taken by the charm of the place and decided to have lunch - and what a great choice that was. My wife had some of her favorite grilled vegetables (done to perfection) and a tasty dish of seabass and swordfish ravioli. I had a fantastic caprese salad that had the freshest mozzarella cheese I have ever tasted, along with some wonderful homemade pasta and very simple but fresh and flavourful pork and tomato sauce. Ending with a great cannoli and wonderful sweet Sicilian wine. A truly great and unexpectedly wonderful lunch.
