I was disappointed on arrival to discover how far the hotel is from the town centre. The weather mid October was mixed and it wasn't hot enough to use the beaches. I had booked directly with the hotel and was under the impression that I was lucky to get the last available room. That wasn't the case. The hotel was no more than half full. Given that we paid 190 euros per night for an upstairs deluxe room my view is that this wasn't particularly good value for money. The hotel doesn't have a kitchen - we were advised on check-in - so there is no restaurant. If we had realised that they could still provide really good room service we would have ordered more food for delivery to the room but we only discovered by accident on the last night.
The breakfasts are very poor, even by Italian standards, unless you really like cake.
The service is very good - the staff are extremely helpful.
We used the Spa and had a massage which was good value.
We managed to get a couple of hours by the pool one day. Despite having mosquito deterrent spray on we were both bitten quite badly.
The hotel has a couple of house cats who are lovely and friendly.More
