We were told the best restaurant for seafood is Trattoria Da Armandino and we were not disappointed! Armandino served us and was very friendly and welcoming (he also speaks fantastic english). He made some recommendations and we enjoyed freshly made pasta with shrimps and clams, followed by Totoni alla Luciana (my husband) and local seabass (me). Everything was fantastic and you are right on the water...talk about fresh :)
Totoni is a local squid...to be clear I do not like squid at all, but my husband made me try and I wanted more!!! It is delicious and in a red wine sauce..fantastic. For the record we tried the same thing later in another restaurant and it paled in comparison. Definitely visit Da Armandino for a meal!

Armandino is always there to take care of you, entertain, and look after all clients, in any language! at his own way. Quite convenient if you're staying at the nearby beach and rented a sunshade. although not really needed in Marina di Praia since the sun shines only between 10h30 until 3 pm in August (due to the nearby rocks). Very good for very hot days. Food is good, although not particularly stunning, not that expensive for the location (service is ok), fruit is fresh and atmosphere typically Southern Italian.

After having enjoyed this restaurant several times 5 years ago, last time we visited Praiano, we really were looking forward to eat here again. One of the reasons we went back to Praiano. We remembered the view, the vongole and the friendly personnel. Lucky for us the owner was the same. The service we got was as good as before. The food was simple but really tasting good. The site and view as great as we remembered.
Really a place to recommend for a simple italian meal made of fresh ingrediences without spending too much.

we had lunch at this place one day, lemon risotto (with shrimps) and home made scialatielli with shrimps. The risotto was the best i've had in my life and the pasta was also great. Price wise it's around what everyone else charges, but the food is just the best. HIghly recommend it.

Thanks to a recommendation from a taxi driver, we found this place. We were picked up at the dock in Positano by a free water taxi and enjoyed a wonderful boat ride to La Praia beach. We were met by Armandino, who charmed my wife, daughter and niece. We Armandino pick the dishes and he did not disappoint! Be sure to try the gnocchi--and we were lucky enough to have a fisherman walk by with fresh prawns. We jumped at the chance when we were offered a plate! The risotto was amazing and the vegetables were some of the best I had on the trip. Let Armandino choose the menu and be sure to order some Furore white wine. This place should not be missed!
