What a pleasant surprise! We booked a triple room at Casa Guadagno without knowing much about it at all - boy are we glad we did. The room was spacious, bright and very clean. But most amazingly, it had a very large private balcony overlooking the ocean and the town - simply stunning. the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine at the end of the day. It was excellently located, right in the middle of town and straight down to the quiet beach. A simple breakfast was included and could be enjoyed in the open-air restaurant; a lovely way to start your day. I would highly recommend Casa Guadagno for a pleasant, affordable stay in beautiful Positano.

I spent 10 days of living the life of someone from Positano, basically life consisted of one long lunch and a dip in the ocean, followed by another long dinner and vino!

We were lucky enough to receive a recommendation to stay at Pensione Casa Guadagno, it is half way up the hill from the beach which means every day we could walk past all the stalls and restaurants and not miss a thing! We were also in the prime location to have easy access to both the very public and busy beach and another more private one! There is a hill you can walk or stairs both ensure you dont become to big whilst feasting on all there amazing foods.

Each morning we would wake up and sit out in the breakfast area that was half opened air and included views of all of Positano. The Pensione is run by a family who are just a delight to be around. We were served yummy hot croissants, hot bread, cappuccinos and yogurt each morning. I highly recommend staying at their charming Pensione.

Room Tip: No need each room is delightful with a balcony.

Positano really is special and the location of this b&b is great- close to the best beach and restaurants with beautiful views! The steps to the beach are a work out but it's the same all over positano. The hosts were fantastic the uncle is a legend! Our room had a nice terrace with a stunning view and was always clean! Thank you for a lovely stay! Chris and Francesca

I was thrilled with Casa Guadagno. A little hard to find, but almost every place is in Positano. I had a small room with a terrace and a Sea view. My room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. Not too far from the smaller of 2 beaches in Positano. Just had to go down about 200 stone steps! Good value. I would stay there again.

We loved this B&B. It is charming, feels very private and the family that owns it are fantastic! If you want to feel like you live in Positano, this is for you! We arrived by car and parked in the Macri lot. They were so accomodating. We were in and out all the time and we simply paid the flat rate when we left Positano. Thank you, Macri! The B&B is a short walk from the parking and tucked down a quiet little street. The rooms are spotlessly clean and we opted for a "triple" as it had a HUGE terrace with a view of the sea and Positano. There is a mini fridge in the room where we kept our wine, great air conditioning as well. There is a wonderful terrace where they serve a wonderful breakfast. There is also a little cappucino bar on the lower level with an assortment of books, nice!! You can walk down 378 steps to Fornillo Beach, what a great walk, we loved it, good exercise, and beautiful!! When you walk down to the main part of town and the beach, (this is a hike but we LOVED it) you pass ALL of the wonderful shops and markets and restaurants. Fantastic. Every day we discovered something new. The main beach is nice, but we loved Fornillo beach. Take your rock shoes!! We always rented a chair at Da Fredinando's. Guido will take the best care of you all day on the beach. We would walk over the cliff walk at lunch at eat takeout at Cappicio's. This was our favorite. GREAT food and reasonable!! Go from 11-1 or it will be picked over. I also recommend Sarceno De Oro, great food! We drove our car everywhere all over the Sorrentine Peninsula. I highly recommend it. It gives you freedom to explore at your own pace. We loved the town of Vietri Sul Mare. All of the ceramics there are MUCH less expensive than Positano. Ravello is gorgeous! The drive is definitely a little scary but you get used to feeling like you are going over the cliff and in a few days you will be driving the Italian way. The views are indescribable. Everything is beautiful in Italy. This B&B is a treasure in Positano. We loved it here and the beautiful and wonderful family Annalisa and Arcangelo and Sabrina made us feel like family. Thank you so much!! We loved Positano!!

What a perfect little b&b. My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights and I wanted to stay longer. I enjoyed the breakfasts, the ladies working at the hotel were very welcoming, helpful, and cheerful. Hands down, the view from our balcony really made our stay there! It was very romantic, relaxing and picturesque. I would definitely recommend Casa Guadagno to a friend, and I would stay there if I were to go back to Positano. I smile when I think about our stay there. :) :)
