“Serene Church - a Positano landmark”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013

A beautiful church on the shores of Positano, it is a fine example of Byzantine art. The outside dome has beautiful yellow exterior made of majolica tiles. It's famous for having a thirteenth-century Byzantine icon of a black Madonna.

“Typical large Italian church”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2013

Wether you enter Positano from the top road or come by boat, you can't miss the church and it's dome, inside is typical with icons, paintings and an ornate altar, if you are here you should at least have a look, in my opinion it is not as grand as the Cathedral in Sorrento.

“Beautiful Church”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

This church is in a great location, sitting in a piazza close to Spiagga Grande. If you are a lite sleeper like myself, the toll of the bells will sometimes wake you.

“the whole area is beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2013

We did a solo sito bus ride from sorrento to amalfi and stopped in postitano on the way back and did the steep walk down to the church and back up. The whole town is beautiful and you spend many hours here. Gorgeous views.
