“Nice & friendly”

We stayed in a suite the beginning of Sept. 2012 and can report that it was a pleasant stay. The room was huge, maybe too much for honeymooners. The staff very helpfull and friendly. Breakfast was so so and the smell from the cleaning material use to clean the bathroom is too much. Compare to the hotels we stayed in Capri and Amalfi at the same price range, this hotel ranks average. I must mention that the other hotels in Positano are not better, so this hotel is good for the available selection.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the sea 30 and up.

Dear Guest,

as always it is a pleasure to receive a feedback from our guests, which are for us one of the ways to try to improve our job, but honestly it is hard to understand how is possible to receive a not positive note for the size of the room when it is a very large room, also considering that we are talking about a Suite and for a very clean bathroom, maybe it has happened to return to the room immediately after the maid had left, by the way, taking your advice, we will search for different products. We really hope to have the possibility to welcome you again to improve your experience and have another completely happy guest.

I returned to stay at Hotel Punta Regina because I had such a wonderful time there during my last visit to Positano a few years ago. Very pleased to find that the service, rooms and facilities are even better than before. The addition of the rooftop infinity pool is the " icing on the cake ". I didn't want to leave. I cannot fault this hotel - professional, friendly and helpful staff (gian luigi is a gem), spotlessly clean, fabulous views, immaculately decorated, and now the pool! I'll be back ...again

I recently stayed one night in a "superior deluxe room" at Punta Regina. Before making the reservation, I spent several days researching all the nearby hotels in positano before booking this particular room. I really wanted something special. Online the pictures of the room looked amazing, boasting images of the modern looking jaccuzzis on the big balconies of the superior deluxe rooms and I just couldnt wait to stay there (even if these particular rooms were a little more costly than most others). Once we arrived, I was a bit dissapointed as we were lead into our room with a tiny balcony and no jaccuzzi (although the bathtub inside was jetted). I had been telling my fiance all about the room, the terrace, and the jaccuzzis pictured online before we arrived. After admitting my dissapointment to the staff, they did switch us to a room that looked more like the ones in the pictures although the jaccuzzi was quite old and the water had a very foul smell so after all the trouble to switch rooms, we couldnt use it. The view from our balcony however was magnificent, the breakfast was excellent, and the rooftop terrace with the pool is quite stunning. However, at $310 euros/night + 25 euros in parking, it didnt really live up to our expectations. Punta Regina is a nice hotel, but if you are looking for a special room or a suite,I would look elsewhere.

Dear Madam,
we are sorry to receive this feedback from you! By the time you booked your room you have been informed as we usually do with all our guests, that our deluxe special rooms differs each other from a particular, and they can be with an outdoor or indoor jacuzzi tub, balcony or terrace facing on the sea! The Punta Regina is a small Hotel with 18 rooms only and it is very difficult for us to let each guest choose a specific kind of room or floor,of course we take a good note of the preference and we always try to accomodate EVERY request. Therefore, even if the reservation was for 1 night only and since we received a cancellation you've been moved immediately in the new room that you saw and accepted a few minutes later the check in without any trouble for yourself. We are very sorry that the jacuzzi didn't satisfy your expectation and not considering it clean enough we could easily resolve sending the maid into the room, but you never asked for it. So if you wish to spend a good one night or a have longer stay at the Punta Regina please help us to understand your desires so we can be more than pleased to let them become true

Knowing this hotel was the top rated hotel in tripadvisor we had high expectations that were well and truly met & in most cases exceeded.
Rooms were large, free wifi, cable tv, immaculately maintained.
Pool area the best hotel space I have ever seen. We enjoyed swimming & sunbathing then drinks at sunset.
Breakfast was good, the bacon wasnt my favourite although I demolished the donuts-first rate pastries.
Staff were very accomodating, nothing was too much trouble & we regret we only booked 2 days as it was not enough time.
I'd love to go back one day.

Room Tip: Village view rooms are on reception floor & have views of the buildings across the road, not the...

We were so excited to leave Naples & arrive on the Amalfi Coast. We took a local train from Naples to Sorrrento (4 euro) then the SITA bus from outside Sorrento Station to Amalfi, getting off at the top of the hill in Positano (2 euro) then the local red bus to the front of the hotel (2 euro). We did a shuttle bus back to Naples train station as buses ran on a different schedule on Sundays (35 euro each). Would have done it both ways if we'd known about the new service although the train and buses were fine it was a little stressful trying to work out how to coordinate it.
So onto the hotel-we requested a room with a village view and were very happy with the room. Beautiful & big, great bathroom (with a bath) & cleaned twice a day. The only small warning would be you actually must step onto the balcony to get the view-otherwise it's a view of the building next door. We didnt mind but some people may be disappointed so I feel I should mention that.
The views from the pool & bar/breakfast area is stunning. We spent hours enjoying the pool & sunbeds, ordering cocktails from a limited but satisfactory menu. Would have loved some more fruity ones like bellini's.
Breakfast was delicious-4 types of cereal, lots of fruit, homemade yohurt, bacon & eggs, pastries galore & Italian cakes, meats & cheeses. Coffee was lovely & made to order.
We loved our stay-a special thank you to Francesca & Giuseppina at the front desk who are some of the loveliest people we have met! Everyone was lovely though & helped us organise restaurant bookings (must try Next 2 just a few doors up!), a boat trip & shuttle back to Naples.
Three days was not enough. We hope to be back one day & will be back to Punta Regina-with a ocean view room!

From the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out ... everything was first class service. Without presenting ourselves, Josephina knew who we were and greeted us by name. A smile greeted us every time we called or went to the front desk. They were helpful for tours and restaurant suggestions. The room was clean, spacious, and majestic. The views from the terrace were serene. The breakfast was tasty. The pool on the rooftop was the perfect cool down to the hot summer heat and provided for a surreal view of the ocean and it's visiting yachts. I can't imagine staying anywhere else. It felt like we were leaving family upon our departure. We cannot wait to go back.

Room Tip: every room faces the ocean so you cannot get a bad room.

Just came back from a 4 night stay at the Punta Regina hotel in Positano. Our stay was amazing! The hotel itself is very quaint and beautiful and is well located in Positano. It is about a 10 minute walk from the main beach area; you can either use the stairs or walk along the main road. The stairs are a bit more challenging then the walk along the road but very doable. We stayed in one of the suites with a hot tub on the deck. The room was great and the view from the deck was amazing. The newly installed pool is also wonderful, especially since the actual beach area in Positano is very rocky.

The best part of this hotel has to be the service. They knew our names from the moment we walked in and provided great recommendations for restaurants and activities in the area.

I would highly recommend this hotel in Positano and cant' wait to go back!
