We stayed in this hotel for 13 nights this August and we had a fantastic time. We had their largest room with our own balcony which was right in the middle of the building and yes as the previous reviewer has stated it was huge.

There is no pool but that did not matter as the bus stop takes you down to the main pedestrian part of town and a small walk takes you to the main beach. The position of this hotel almost at the top of Positano means you have a fantastic view and the chance to explore the shops and restaurants further up the town which is our opinion are just as good as any you will find in the lower part.

Don’t worry about it being so high up I could not manage the 400+ steps to the beach so we bussed down and walked back up the main circular road, which was great exercise. The family who run this hotel are really friendly and the restaurant is by far one of the best in the town, and over the years we have tried most of them.

We have stayed in Positano before and are already planning our next stay, this hotel offered all we need and we would not hesitate to stay here again.

Room Tip: Pick rooms with balcony

This was a great room. It was HUGE!!! and had an amazing view of the beautiful landscape. It is up above the main town of Positano. We did venture on the stair walk up and down once. What was great about Villa Gabrisa, is that it is near the bus stop down the the village as well as the bus stop that took us to Amalfi for the day.
It is also right above a little street that had some great restaurants which we ate at a few times.

The hospitality was great and their breakfast and coffee was exactly what we were looking for.
We definitely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Definitely pay for a room with a balcony. The view is unbelievable!

Spent one week at this glorious hotel with my 14 year old granddaughter. Cannot say enough about the entire experience. The views, the food, the staff, were all wonderful. Loved the half hour walk each morning to the beach!!! In the afternoon, after spending a fabulous day at the beach, we took the bus back to Villa Gabrisa. The bus stopped at the Villa. We felt like locals!!! Hope to take the entire family next year.

Just got back yesterday from 2 weeks at this beautiful hotel. Thank you all for a wonderful time. Lovely clean rooms, fabulous food and a view to take your breath away. Nothing was too much trouble and every member of staff was friendly and as helpful as possible. Hope to bring more of the family next time x

Room Tip: We stayed in room 5, which I would definitely choose again. The terrace was huge and the flowers made it more like a garden.

We can't say enough good things about this boutique hotel!

We didn't worry about a taxi and hopped on the bus from the town square which is actually a little triangle after a small walk from the port. The bus driver was great if you tell him the hotel he'll stop at the closest stop and let you know.

The views from the massive balcony were breathtaking, the room was comfortable and spacious with L'Occitane toiletry products.

It's a family run business and everyone speaks excellent English and always took the time to help with any questions for suggestions of things to do.

We were not sure whether to stay in Sorrento or Positano and after a day trip to Sorrento we were so happy we decided on Positano as the feeling was much more relaxed and picturesque, there was still an excellent selection of restaurants to choose from.

Room Tip: We had the room with the larger balcony which was definitely worth it.
