Our server was excellent in providing wine choices and even brought out an extra appetizer from the antipast plate for my wife since it was so good I did not share much of it. It is not an upscale place as there are tvs playing.it is more of a casual setting but the food and service was superb even with it being full on our visit. They have a car service as well to pick you up from your hotel and return you after dinner.

Being cheated.
According to the menu we did our choices. The waiter suggested something in addition that sounded convincing. When we asked for the bill we realized that the price of one of the dishes was much more higher than any one other in the list menu. Suprisingly the waiter said that was not in the list because was something especial. In addition they charged in the bill mineral water when it was just tap water.

Dear antonietaso I am very sad for your opinion about my restaurant ,but if you think the water is only tap water you are wrong because we have a sanitizer-purify-controlled water system ,inside the restaurant,You complain that you spent 18 € for a beef tagliata with rucola ,shaved parmesan cheese and cherry tomatoes, as traveller you suppose to know that the price of a tagliata is not less than 25 € .But anyway ,any time you want to came over you'll be welcome.

My girlfriend and I just returned from a week long trip to Positano, Italy.

We did much restaurant hopping and based on previous trip advisor reviews, we opted to try C'era una Volta one evening. Good choice!

A driver picked us up and dropped us back at our room, so this made the trip convenient and easy. There was no fee for this service.

The restaurant is small, clean and authentically Italian; not necessarily catering to tourists, as evidenced by the locals eating here. Italian music playing comfortably through the speakers, Federico charmed us with his kind demeanor and slips into brief periods of singing and humor. The food was good, fresh, tasty and plentiful. Simply said, this is simply Italian. And you should go. We are glad we did!

We ate here twice during our stay in Positano. They picked us up on time and drop off was just as easy. The price was very fair. You really expected a larger bill because the food was excellent and the service was even better. We felt so welcomed and the waiter chose our dinner and wine pairing. Which was perfect. I cant wait to go back.

After a long day of touring, we dropped in on a Thursday to find that it was Thai food night. We desperately wanted to try Italian pasta however and the host Frederico was kind enough to organise a beautiful plate of mixed vegetables and some seafood pasta. This place lives up to the reviews, great service, food and price - don't hesitate to try for yourself.
