I have eaten in Rome, Naples and Florence and this was the best. Great service and mr Gaetano cooked us the best meal that we had eaten on our two week adventure through Italy. We had the fresh fish which was cooked perfectly. The waiter even invited us to go fishing with him! Such a great dinning experience and we will return to Positano just for this restaurant
We would recommend to anyone!!

How could you fault it!? Service was excellent, very welcoming and friendly staff that do all to please. Went a couple of weeks back near the back-end of the peak season and although some way away from our hotel thought we'd give it a try, based on good reviews on here. It was well worth the yomp, just lovely inviting little restaurant that is family run, where staff are very welcoming and want to engage with you and tell you all about the food. The food was excellent, and when you see the prices on the menu you should take a second look as yes it is that great value!! The staff were aiming to please so you shouldn't be disappointed, with a lot of the food sources locally. At the end of the meal, they asked which hotel we stayed in and they offered a shuttle service back free of charge! If we come to Positano again we shall certainly return here....Many thanks we were highly impressed.

We were told about this restaurant by a local. The food was outstanding, the same quality food as down by the water at half the price. The view was amazing, over looking all of Positano. The staff was great, recommending local dishes. It was so great we ate at this restaurant multiple times.

The restaurant not only had the best traditional food, but also the best prices in all of Positano. It is away from the touristy stuff and the restaurant will have a shuttle come pick you up from your hotel at no charge and bring you back. The staff were "perfecto" as they were very personable and attentive. They explained various items on the menu and offered their recommendations. The food was AMAZING!!! We both had a seafood pasta that was incredible with fresh seafood that was just brought in. They have a great variety of seafood, pastas, pizza's and meat dishes to satisfy anyones taste. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual. It was the most authentic place that we went to! Our waiter even saw us the next day walking around and invited us to come and have cafe with him!!!

Our last night in Positano my family dined at C'era una Volta. Our hotel arranged for transportation to/from the hotel to the restaurant which worked out perfectly. Away from the main collection of hotels and restaurants, we were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome into this small trattoria. The menu offered a variety of pastas, fresh seafood and meat dishes as well as pizza. We traveled throughout Italy when clams were in season and I was not disappointed in their spaghetti vongole! Based on other reviews, we stuck with the house wine which was fine. The family run restaurant is casual and a relaxed atmosphere. No stuffiness here . . . they will make you laugh and feel a part of their family. We even got invited back to the kitchen for a look and photograph of the pizza ovens! A great experience on our final night in Positano.
