We stayed at Villa Rosa for three nights in August on recommendation and was not disappointed. Our triple room had a large terrace with postcard views over the sea and town. The staff were very friendly and helpful (especially the porter who carried our luggage up the stairs and delivered breakfast in our room). Our room had high curved ceilings with handpainted frescos and double door to balcony. We will never forget the first glimpse of Positano when the staff opened the curtains in our large, cool room to display a postcard of an Italian seaside village. If we visit Positano again, we will definitely stay at Villa Rosa.

Stayed for 8 nights, bedroom very small but huge terrace with magnificant view which is its selling point. Very helpful and friendly staff. Lovely to get breakfast served on terrace which was adequate. Expensive at €195 per night, this would be a 5 star hotel rate in Ireland. Locally did not find people very helpful, could not even find a tourist office. A lot of hills and steps between beach and this accommodation, not easy in 38 degrees heat. Had a few issus with ants but these were very quickly dealt with.

Was great to stay in Villa Rosa. We stayed there for a week.
Hotel's furnitures are unique( white ), front desk is very helpfull and friendly. Need to pay attention to the ants on the teracce for that plant. So keep the food in the fridge. Room cleaning is very good, nice breakfast. Not very close to beach, not far from. İf u prefer a accomodation near the sea ,You don't have many options in Positano. Just Hotel Buca di Bacco. Price is expensive, but everything is more expensive in Positano than the other holiday destinations. Worth it !

My husband and I stayed at Villa Rosa for two nights last week. We had a standard sea facing room. When I booked the hotel my only worry was 'What if it doesn't turn out to be the gorgeous B&B it claims to be?". But as soon as I got there I realised I had nothing to worry about! This B&B is such a gem! The room was clean, spacious, the terrace was just perfect for morning breakfasts and tea and the service impeccable. The staff booked us our taxi's too and from the airport, as well as arranged freeshuttles for us everytime we went to restaurants that were a bit away. They also made fantastic suggestions as to where to eat (no tourist traps here) and things to do around. Breakfast consisted of croissants, jams, cereal, fruit juice, teas ans coffees- it's not a big spread that you'd usually find at other hotels, but quite adequate. The only two minor things that we had an issue with is that there was no proper wi-fi connection in the room, it's very faint and they don't have an iron in the whole hotel. So you might have to shell out a bit if you want your creases ironed up for a night out. Still these are really small details - other toileteries are provided and the room stocked with some free water on the first night. All in all, it's hard to fault this place, I'm surprised it's not among the top 5 in Positano. I'm definitely booking here if I come back again (which I'm sure I will)

The views are gorgeous, hands down. The location is fabulous, and it's never a long walk anywhere. Yes, there are steps and hills, but really guys, you're in Positano. You're on a cliff. Get over it.

They have good generic Italian breakfast, does the trick, no complaints. The rooms are nice and quaint. Certainly not luxurious, but they also don't advertise themselves as that, so you really get what you paid for.

Laundry is smart - do it here. After staying in resorts where laundry was charged per piece (5 euro per underwear, anyone?), they do it per load for 10-12 euro, and if you gave it to them in the morning, you'd get it back wash and folded at night when you returned.

Staff was hit and a miss at times, and for that is where the one star came off. Our toilet stopped working one of the days and they sent someone pretty promptly to fix it (albeit the guy who we talked to looked confused). There is a very sweet girl at the desk who was IMMENSELY helpful when we checked in. She was also amazingly sweet in recommending places to eat and visit (got us balcony reservations at Cafe Positano, another place with gorgeous views). There was another woman there who was a beast. Literally physically and customer service-wise too. Whenever we asked her for recommendations, she just stared at us like we were retarded. We had to deal with her when we were checking out, and it was not pleasant. In fact, it left us with a not very pleasant impression of the place, but I've decided it probably wasn't anything against us, it's just her manner. Maybe she's just not a customer service person.

I got sick on the day we were checking out, and they had a doctor come visit. They didn't tell us how much it cost when they sent him, but he charged me ONE HUNDRED EURO. But when you're on your vacation, you don't have a choice when you have to see the doctor, so you just have to fork it over. Not happy about that, and I wish they would've at least let us know before they sent him, but at the end of the day we still had to see the doctor.

We stayed her for three nights in July on the recomendation of a work mate who had sayed there previously.

We had seen the photos, read the reviews on Trip Advisor and even considered other hotels but we kept coming back to this one so we booked it for three nights. Best Descision Ever!!!

This is not a cheap nor expensive hotel. It sits in the middle range but lacks NOTHING!!

The views are to die for. Hue Balcony straight off the room.

A word of warning, if you are not prepared to pay for an ocean facing room, dont stay here or anywhere else in Positano as you will not get the best out of this amazing place and would be better off going to another cheaper seaside town as this place is truly amazing when you wake up in the morning, walk out onto your terrace and then feel your jaw drop the second you walk out!

The rooms are very nice, they are not the modern slick hotel rooms some places have but it stays true to the style of the place and are very large, bright rooms that are both comfortable and clean.

The bathrooms are average size, nothing big but nothing more is needed, again clean and well appointed.

The balcony of these rooms really are wahat makes these rooms special!! If you are travelling with friends, request rooms next door to each other and move the pot plants and you have your own little OASIS on the side of the mountain.

Walking distance to everything.

WARNING - Do be like me and think that higher up the hill might mean a better view as the higher you go the more work you do after dinner as you will need to save some energy for the hill climb! This hotel is positioned about mid way up, high enoug but NOT too high. One of Positanos supposedly best hotels is just below this and to be honest, dont waste your money, stay here instead.

BREAKFAST ON THE TERRACE,WHICH IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE IS JUST FANTASTIC!

Overall we loved this place as did our friends who were blown away by the amazing views of this amazind seaside town.

What a great family owned villa!

We occupied the apartment on top. Two bedrooms with a glorious terrace. The view is indescribable. Breakfast is served on the terrace and it's just heaven.

The is no elevator but don't let this deter you. In Positano you need to be prepared to walk. It's good exercise, so don't complain.

The staff are the most hospitable people you will meet and made recomendatiions which were utterly perfect.

And, best of all, the rate was most reasonable.
