My husband and I stayed in Conca d'Oro this past August 2012 and we had an amazing time. The people that work there are great and really nice. The hotel is in awesome location, the rooms have incredible view and are incredibly clean. They have a very nice guys to help you with your luggage's. there is no room service if you are looking for that but you can pick up extra water or ice from the kitchen bar if you need it. There is a really nice terrace on the rooftop with incredible views. There are 2 beaches in Positano; main beach which is about 12 min walk and one right down from Conca d'Oro smaller beach but there is 563 steps to it...it's not bad since we ate lots of yummy pasta and pizza so that was the form of exercise we need it.
I would definitely stay here again. We loved Positano and Conca d'Oro!!

We enjoyed our stay in Positano at this hote. It was very clean, the room was a decent size and practical. The people were very friendly and provided great suggestions/recommendations to us regarding our stay. It is up the cliff a bit, but is conveniently located next to a few restaurants, shops, easy access to bus down to city center, as well as steps to walk down. My husband and I were very pleased with our stay.

Room Tip: room with a view you can't go wrong!

This hotel bills itself out as a 3 star and it is. The lack of amenities (eg no pool) as well as poor in-suite amenities (motel style soap, and rip open style shampoo packages) could surely be improved upon. Breakfast was fair, decent selection of carbohydrates but not much in the way of protein. One hot drink at breakfast is free. After that you pay.

On the positive side, the panoramic views from the rooms are fantastic and the rooms theimselves serviceable and what I would expect from a 3 star hotel.

If I were to travel to Positano again, I would probably seek out an alternative but if none were available I would consider staying here.

We stayed for 4 nights and we could say that it's a good hotel. We rented a car in Rome, and travel until here, and there started our concerns: where to leave our car. Before you get to the hotel, was a parking lot, that of course wasn't included in the price. The price seems a little expensive.
Let's talk about the hotel: before we leave our car there, showed up a man from the hotel who helped us with our luggage - 2 bags, big ones. If he hasn't help us, maybe we couldn't reach the hotel, a lot of stairs! Because the location of the hotel is a way only for people, it's not allowed cars. Our room was in the first floor, right under the restaurant. Of course the noice produced by the movement of the chairs and tables almost made us crazy! And the air conditioner was working (?) but didn't produced fresh air.
Now, the hotel has a really great stuff, like the restaurant's view, and the solarium in the 4th floor. The food was amazing, bu the best thing that this hotel has is his service. All of the staff was really kind with us, they made our staying more pleasant that we could imagine.
Its true that the location Italy the best thing, but the walking down/up to/from the "beach" was really great.
Overall is a good hotel, but they have few things to improve.

Very nice hotel with sensational views, however we had to climb 105 stairs to get to the lobby. There is no street frontage so that is the only way in or out. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was quite good and overall the hotel was lovely.
