Been a week in Positano and just discovered the wine dark house. The central location ie minus a classic
'Positano view' is more than compensated for in this food lovers establishment; the welcome is warm and the host is eager maximise your enjoyment by giving helpful suggestions from the menu. He gave us a taster of two wines to choose from and both were fab . Four ate for 120€ ( sharing starters and sweet) with a bottle of local wine to savour. Just fab!

This restaurant deserves the plaudits it is getting here. We had an excellent meal and excellent service from a very pleasant, decent and humble owner. If this was on the sea front, rather than several streets back, it'd be number 1 restaurant by now and charging a heck of a lot more for the dining experience. We usually have house red, but here there is none. The owner recommended a local wine which he brought us a sample of. I had anticipated it'd be one of the most expensive wines he does, but pleasantly, not only was it lovely, it was the cheapetst! I liked that. It meant I might trust him so we pretty much took his advice on the whole meal and a lovely meal it was. A delightful fish platter to share to start and two pasta dishes afterwards (one fish, one beef). All was lovely. We were so enjoying sitting in the courtyard that we had another bottle of wine and asked for a cheese platter, which was also great. I would highly recommend this restaurant. My only suggestion would be that the owner make a more definite dinner menu. The addition of burgers and the like on a dinner menu may put off some people (though obviously not us). I see why he does it (he wants to attract locals too and not be too ponder) but a proper dinner menu might be an idea.

Well, thank you trip advisor! What a find. Charming, attentive, server, and good at his job. The seafood pasta was a wow. Nice local wine, good desserts, great espresso, and a luscious lemony, not sugary Limoncello.the price guideline of £32 was spot on, and worth every penny. We will return!

A full on day in Positano in May but had eaten enough octopus to last a life time - the waiter agreed to substitute the octopus in the fish salad - it was wonderful with a great recommended local wine to match. My partners seafood risotto was divine.

The people were extremely kind.
