Over the years we have been several times to the Amalfi coast either off a cruise or staying at one of the hotels in Sorrento. After having lunch here several years ago, this hotel was on our list to return to for a special vacation. We booked a junior suite with a large terrace overlooking the pool but high enough to have a fantastic view of the town and harbor. Room no. 69 if you're interested. The terrace has two lounge chairs as well as a table for two if you feel like dining al fresco. And, quite frankly, what else would you want to do here in Positano? The room is beautiful but the closets are not spacious. Maybe not a problem for most but we had three months in Italy and all the paraphernalia that went along.
The restaurant is fine, service excellent, as well as live music. However, the best experience, in my opinion, is the Champagne bar at sunset. There are plenty of options on the menu there for dinner as well. You must book your table in advance as people who are not guests of the hotel also come for cocktails. A surprise to us when we checked in was that our suite came with a choice of various excursions at no charge. A week's worth of fun activities! The only excursion with a charge was a wine tasting. One morning my husband went on a tour to the Lemoncello factory and tasting. On another day we went out on the hotel's boat to a special lunch. There was also a sunset cruise with cocktails. This is a perfect honeymoon destination!

Dear hapylifeDallas, thank you so much for taking the time to leave your wonderfully kind and descriptive review. We are delighted to hear that we lived up to your expectations and flattered that you marked us on your list a few years ago. It is fantastic to hear that you enjoyed the excursion on our boat and that your husband went to the Limoncello factory - true ways to experience the best of the Amalfi Coast! Thank you in particular for mentioning the Champagne Bar & Grill which we are very proud of and we hope offers a relaxed and beautiful setting to while away a few evening hours. We would love to welcome you back again soon.

After many years vacationing in the South of France, and once in Ravello we finally visited Positano and stayed for 6 nights at Le Sirenuse. It was the most luxurious stay we have ever experienced: not only the service which anticipated every need at the pool, breakfast, and champagne bar, but the little touches throughout the hotel. The family furniture and art collection scattered throughout, the joining of woods for framing of many prints, the one piece of marble which covered the sink area in the bathroom, the various decorative tiles on all of the floors, and the Gae Aulenti designed gym. Indeed at Le Sirenuse, which had the best breakfast buffet ever, "God is in the details." Cannot wait to return next year to the friendliness, luxury and extraordinary seaviews.

Room tip: deluxe sea view at least

We loved everything - from the room (small but who cares with those views) to the restaurant, pool and cocktails on the terrace. The service is friendly and the food is fresh and amazing. Beautiful decor throughout.

We visited Positano in late April, and stayed in Le Sirenuse hotel. The hotel has a warm and intimate feel to it, you will get to know the staff quickly. The setting could not be more beautiful, the views from the rooms and the restaurant are simply breath-taking. The cost is the obvious drawback, this is a very expensive hotel. We dined at Don Alfonso, that was another highlight we could safely recommend. If you have time, you must try their pasta cooking school. That was a truly memorable experience. Also a trip to Capri is very convenient from this hotel and location, as is a day-trip to Ravello.

Recently vacationed for 5 days at the Sirenuse - It was spectacular in every way. The Hotel is extremely well located - near the village but away from the crowds. Fabulous breakfast on the patio overlooking the seaside. Service is true 5 star level. Pepe took care of us every morning. La Sponda restaurant was terrific - very romantic setting with spectacular night time view. Food is upscale and formal. Would go back and likely will
