“Christine was wonderful!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 4, 2013

We loved this intimate and informative tour of Positano. We were there for the first time with our 2 grown sons. Christine gave us a wonderful tour of the area, with the history and the culture explained in a very enjoyable way. We loved meeting her husband the butcher, and tasting his homemade meats and cheeses. Christine also provided us with information about the shopping and dining in Positano. She arranged for a reservation at Ristorante Max, and complenetary Proseco for the 4 of us upon our arrival. The food was amazing - thank you Chrisine! We would highly recommend this tour to first-time visitors or those who are interested in the history and culture of beautiful Positano.

“Soon much local knowledge”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 30, 2013 via mobile

Christine was the best guide I have ever experienced. Imparted a wealth of local knowledge in a really captivating way while walking around positano. Explained local history and educated us regarding authentic artisan products produced in the area. Introduced us to her husband and some locally produced food. I went on my own and when I returned I just kept saying to my husband 'Christine said ..... And Christine told us .....' Not too many steps all done in a relaxed easy pace.

“Wine-Tasting with Discover Positano is a Must”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 25, 2013

Vincenzo of Discover Positano is not only the proprietor of his family's fabulous salumeria in Positano, but is also a wonderful sommelier. We booked a wine tasting in our villa for 4 adults and 2 teenagers. Vincenzo and Christina brought 4 amazing local wines, cheeses and meats from his salumeria, and typical Italian non-alcoholic beverages for the kids. Vincenzo is extremely knowledgeable, and explained everything about the production of each wine (the where and the how, etc.), how to assess each wine's appearance and nose, and of course it's taste. He was extremely patient, good-humored and we had a wonderful evening with great wine and food and, most importantly, great company. We enjoyed it so much we ordered a case of the wine Vincenzo brought and had it shipped home to so we can taste a little bit of the Amalfi Coast here in New York this summer. We can't wait to do it again next time. Don't miss it!

“Great way to start your holiday in Positano”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 24, 2013

This tour of Positano was a fantastic start to a few days in the area and I would highly recommend it. Christine's knowledge of the culture and history of this beautiful village was very helpful, guiding us to the various places we needed during our stay. Throughout the tour we experienced some local tasty treats such as locally made salami, cheese, bread and olives - yum. Christine provided detailed descriptions on local ceramic making and how to tell the differences between the real and factory-made and linen-making and clothing which is everywhere in the shops. This tour was value for money and a fabulous way to understand the intricate detail, culture and history of this amazingly beautiful and historic village.

“The best thing to do on day 1 in Positano!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2013

Avoid reading travel guides, looking at maps etc. just take the tour with Christine as soon as you arrive and she will give you the run down on shopping, eating, drinking and history in Positano. It is a great snapshot of a place that could otherwise be quite confusing. I.e. there are many shops and restaurants and experiences available that seem identical on the exterior, but after the heads up from Christine you have a good idea of how to take the place on. Christine equips you to delve deeper in Positano and along the coast generally.

Christine is very passionate about the history and the culture and you can tell from all the smiling faces that greet her in the streets, that she has genuinely made this place her own home.

Also not to be missed is the wine tasting available with her husband Vincenzo. Vincenzo is a qualified sommelier and understands a great deal about wine and how it interacts with food. Another real draw card is the actual wine you taste. While Sangiovese and Nebbiolo based wines are the stronghold throughout Tuscany and Piedmont, Vincenzo introduces you to Campania's wines which are made from grapes we had never heard of before. Great fun and a great experience. A fun thing to do with friends before dinner.

All up Christine and Vincenzo are lovely people who possess first rate knowledge about the area, it's food, wine and goods.
