“Love this place!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 3, 2013

My friend and I stayed next door at Hotel Pupetto and came here for four days straight for a snack and/or lunch. It's nothing fancy, but perfect on nice beach day.

“Guido and the staff are great!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 24, 2013

Off the beaten path in Positano is this great beach shack. Much less expensive than the tourist trap main beach in Positano. We even rented a sea Kayak for an hour and Boat for a day trip to Capri from Guido. Honest hardworking family who appreciate your business and make you feel very welcome. Guido gave us lemonchello shots before we left and we cannot wait to go back and visit them again!

“Spectacular service with view of Spaggio Grande! Amore!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 18, 2013

Guido, Marco, and Mama make this place a favorite for locals as well as tourists. We enjoyed perfect beach bar atmosphere, overlooking Spaggio Grande! Attentive service, great drinks, pricing appropriate for Positano. Makes you feel right at home no matter where you are from! Amore!!

“Nothing special in terms of food, but nice relaxed atmosphere”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 14, 2013

Came here due to the TA reviews and as it was on the smaller, quieter beach in positano

The atmosphere here is nice and relaxed, for lounging around by the "beach"... I say that cos it's a rocky beach

Food here was nothing spectacular but not bad either... and was reasonably priced.. salad was 8-9 Euro and a pizza was 6 euro

We also hired some sun loungers for 6 Euro pp in front of the bar/restaurant to relax in for a couple of hours which was more comfortable than lying on rocks.

“Stop here just to meet Guido”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 11, 2013

This beach side cafe sits at the little Positano beach, not the Spaggio Grande, so look for it.
Make plans to stay on the beach, do a little sunbathing and swimming and go over to Da Ferdinando for lunch, drinks, dessert, etc.
You will be likely met by the owner Guido, ( his father is Ferdinando and still working there)
This place is a family affair, and it shows, he's a happy guy, and he passes it along. It's not gourmet fare, and it's certainly not high end, but the food is good, the value is very good, and the staff just lets you enjoy the place as long as you want. The steady crowd at lunch is a good sign.
So if you plans include the beach, include this spot, it's easy on your wallet, and you will probably leave smiling. I remember it from a visit ten years earlier, I returned to see if it remained the same.....it did!
