From the time I first started emailing Tiziana and Antonio (9mths before our stay) I found them extremely helpful. We spent 5 nights in the Venere room which was a great size and had all amenities covered.
On day 2 I was checking our train tickets and realised we had booked the wrong month - just one of many train, plane and accommodation bookings I made months in advance. Late in the evening Antonio went online and booked flights for us, as well as a shuttle to Naples airport. We were so relieved!
Our room was always well cleaned (by "CSI"), and breakfast more than we could eat.
Expect to climb steps but that is part of being on the coast. We walked down into town and paid 1.70euros each night to come home on the local bus.
Villa Mary lived up to everything we expected. Looking forward to returning in 3yrs time for my 50th!

Room Tip: I really wanted to stay in the Diana room (most expensive) as it has the largest balcony, but it was...

The minute Tiziana shows you to your room, and opens the door to your terrace, you know you've made the right choice to stay, not just in Positano, but at this wonderful three bedroom B&B.

We stayed for four nights in the Minerva room (smallest), then our final night in the Diana room (largest).

Firstly - all the rooms are great, and have their own terrace. The Diana room also has a huge bathroom w/ bath and shower, more space, and a larger terrace, but I suspect you would be happy in any of the rooms.

The beds were comfy, a delicious breakfast is served each morning on your own terrace - it's pastries baked that morning by Tiziana, coffee, jams, bread, fruit juice, yoghurt. We generally purchased some fresh fruit each today to add to it, but only because we'd already had a pretty carb-heavy holiday already.

Tiziana could not have been more helpful - recommending restaurants, suggesting where we could get a good deal to hire a boat (we got a great discount) and organizing a lovely driver in a Mercedes to get us to Naples when we left (for around half what we know other tourists paid). She's a very kind person. You'll also get to meet her lovely dog Dylan.

To get to the beach there are about 400-500 steps down (and UP for the return). We quite enjoyed the walk each day (sometimes twice) - and felt less guilty about enjoying lots of delicious local food as a result. But if you don't feel up to the walk back, there's a local bus to save you the hassle.

Wonderful spot - can't wait to go back!

i stayed at villa mary in positano for the night of wednesday 18th september 2013. i was made very welcome by tiziana who gave me a lot of information and a map about positano. the room was beautiful - restful - all white or distressed white - and with it's own little terrace with a view of the sea where breakfast is served for you. and the breakfast has excellent coffee. the bed was very comfortable. villa mary is in a quiet location in one of the little pedestrian lanes. but is it easy to get to the main parts of the town and the bus stop. i wanted to stay longer but there was not a vacancy. the room was very clean and very quiet. i recommend it very highly and would love to stay there again. i have marked location four out of five only because in positano it is impossible to move around the town without climbing a lot of steps. there is a very good circular bus route.

Room Tip: i didn't see the other rooms but the b and b is in a very quiet lane. the little balcony is a...

Even before we had set off on our journey Tiziana was emailing us useful information , on our arrival we were treated as part of her wonderful family , set in a enchanting location Villa Mary is idyllic in every way , our room was amazing , huge French doors led out onto our terrace ,which n the morning became our breakfast location looking over Positano's captivating views , breakfast was all you could every ask for , even better being delivered to our room at our choice of time . The room itself was 5 star , pure quality no more could be wished for . Tiziana and Antonio we only to happy to give us all the relevant information and more to make our stay so pleasurable , from the bus timetables to a hand drawn map of the local area pin pointing the Path of the Gods , the endless steps up and down, which after negotiating a few times became fun ... Honesty they did !!! Just a few minutes walk from Villa Mary, yes down some steps is the local Mini Market where local produce is readily available from fresh grapes and lemons and local wines , our favourite on more than one occasion was to choose our bread then ponder over what delights we should have between it for our lunch time snack and all for a few Euros , The Amalfi coast is awe inspiring and where better place to stay Villa Mary Positano, dreams do come true !!!
Thank you so much Antonio and Tiziano and of course Dylan

We stayed at the Villa Mary in early September and really enjoyed it. The room is well- equipped, a good size, and very clean. The view from the terrace is stunning. We really enjoyed spending time on the terrace. Tiziana and Antonio helped us with sightseeing, dinner suggestions, and making connections to our next stop. The stairs are daunting but manageable and they did not deter us from enjoying the sights in Positano and the coast. We appreciated the hep with our luggage. We had a wonderful time there and would highly recommend it!

We stayed in Villa Mary for 4 days and it was a nice find in Positano. The B&B is very comfortable, well-appointed and quiet (albeit from occasional music drifting in from the hotels below). In an extremely overpriced Positano, this is a great option and definitely scores high as far as value for money is concerned. The hosts are very helpful and make one feel welcomed. We weren't particularly taken with Positano and driving here is a nightmare, but I suppose this comes with a territory. Great local option!

We arrived at the Villa Mary by car on a busy Saturday afternoon in early September, the weather was beautiful and roads were packed with people heading to the beach. We had some difficulty finding a place to park near the Villa Mary main entrance. However, my wife checked in while I found a safe (if that exists on these roads!) place to turn the car around. When I finally made it back to the Villa Mary entrance Tiziana and Antonio were both waiting on the main road to help us park the car and unload our luggage. Upon check-in Tiziana gave us a detailed map of Positano and explained how to get to the beach. We could not have asked for better service. We stayed in the Dianna room which included a large terrace overlooking the city and the sea. Even with the great reviews, the actual view is better than advertised. The room was huge and had a spacious bathroom, with both a Jacuzzi tub and shower. The breakfast was served to us privately on our terrace and included the best pastries we had on our trip. Although others have complained about the stairs at the entrance of the Villa Mary, we did not find these to be an issue at all. I would highly recommend Villa Mary to anyone staying in Positano.

We also rented the O Compare boat. This was probably our favorite day during our entire 2 week European vacation. Antonio and Andreas made this day very special. It started out with Antonio stopping by a local market and packing a picnic for the boat while Andreas took us for a quick Espresso at a beachside restaurant. The boat itself was a beautiful traditional Sorrentine boat made completely of wood. It was in outstanding condition and perfect for a couple or four people who want a truly special day exploring the breathtaking Amalfi coast. We traveled to the small private island of Galli for a swim in the sea, then slowly drove down the coastline in the direction of Capri, and finally headed back towards Positano with a few other stops along the way. Including swimming in a cave. Antonio and Andreas were the perfect hosts as they explained the sites and took many photos for us to remember the great experience. I would highly recommend renting the O Compare for anyone who wants to get away from the busy beaches and enjoy a day taking in the Amalfi coast from the sea.
