“Memorable Lunch, Top Location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 9, 2013

We spent a day in Positano after catching the jet ferry from Sorrento, which is a great way to see the amazing Amalfi coastline. We wanted to have lunch in a location that overlooked Positano without climbing the hill!- and La Cambrusa was tops!- While it's on the beach and close to the action it's the second story above the beach and our great waiter Gianni got us a table right on the corner- fantastic location. The food is terrific and reasonably priced for such a great location- expect to pay well under 100 euro for two and a great bottle of italian wine. We had seafood with their homemade pasta- it was great.
Gianni's service was excellent and while the place was not packed, plenty of people were having lunch there. No hesitation in recommending this restaurant, but get there early if you want a great front row seat overlooking the beach and you won't be dissapointed!!

“Friendly waitress”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 6, 2013

We wanted something very light for our evening meal so the waitress recommended the minestrone soup and bread rolls. Have never tasted minestrone soup like it. Delicious! Plenty of vegetables and the bread so fresh. I also had a hot chocolate made with melted chocolate, yummy

“Just Plain Gross”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 5, 2013

I don't understand the good reviews. This was the worse place we ate in 3 weeks in Italy.

Started off with stale bread and warm water out of a glass bottle. Then came the cold lasagna that was a pile of mush. Asked for lemon cake for dessert and was given chocolate almond. Asked what happen to the lemon cake and was told this is what I ordered. Waiter walked away and left me with the chocolate cake. Wait staff was very unfriendly.

Beautiful view and really bad food.

“Positano must visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 2, 2013 via mobile

If you are looking to try proper local cuisine in a laid back friendly atmosphere then come here! We gave dined 3 times in 2 wks and also just sat outside several nights for wine & desserts after eating elsewhere!! Roberta the host is amazing and her English second to none, the waiters also made us feel at home and gave great recommendations. The quality & quantity of food you will get will far out weigh others in terms of value inc the house white wine which is lovely! Thanks all for making our holiday special x

“Wonderful Experience!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 22, 2013

We had the pleasure of dining here on two occasions this past month. The first time we had Johnny as our waiter -- professional and friendly. We wanted a more authentic food experience so asked for recommendations regarding local cuisine -- octopus and potatoes as an appetizer and classic spaghetti and clams and gnocchi. The first two items were wonderful -- so flavorful the gnocchi was average, but still very tasty. The service was perfect, not overbearing, but definitely there when you needed it. As with all Italian restaurants, getting the check is always a challenge (especially when they are busy), but who cares, we were on holiday.

After a few "average" meals that seemed to be "Americanized", we went back on our last night -- we had Giovanni as our waiter. Johnny remembered us and came over also to chat. Another stellar meal of local food -- DON'T MISS THE LEMON CAKE!

Fantastic View, ambiance, and authentic food -- a treat. We'll be back for sure.
