La Tagliata is absolutely picturesque and the food is delicious. Everything is made by the family that owns it and each dish is crafted with love. Once seated, the super friendly waiters begin bringing you course after course of amazing food and wine, no menus necessary. The meal was well rounded and gave us a chance to try everything we hoped to in Italy. The fresh pasta dishes were our absolute favourite! The views were beautiful from the patio and we really felt like we were eating in the middle of a true Italian garden. Wonderful!

Was referred to this place by friends that went previously and we were not disappointed. A free shuttle was provided as it is not easy to get to unless you have transport, the views on the trip up there are quite stunning but totally breath taking once you get there. The menu is fixed but food is sensational from the entree's, mains and dessert there is something that will suit everybody's taste (make sure your hungry)
I have read many reviews of restaurants that treat you like family, this one is totally spot on with super friendly staff that are very passionate and walk you through every step of the experience.
The value for money is totally out of character for what you get to eat and experience!

Aside from a little glitch with the shuttle (it was 1.5 hours late), we really enjoyed our visit to La Tagliata. It was our first 'traditional' dinner experience during our Italian vacation and it didn't disappoint. For 35 euros each, my husband and I had 4 course meal, and all the wine & bottled water we could drink. 'Mama's' son even made a point to come out and chat with us throughout the meal. We would definitely recommend this restaurant, and would also go back if we find ourselves in Positano again.

The €35 each set menu was fantastic, wine & water included. Great value!
Mama's pasta a highlight, along with the veggies from the garden & heaps of meat, so make sure you are hungry.
The views from the top are amazing!
The only criticism is the free shuttle Bus, which can be significantly delayed from when they say you'll be picked up, as it depends on other reservations & traffic in positano. So if you don't want to wait, best to book a taxi yourself!
Overall, a fantastic evening.

Not sure what the draw is. Although it is a lovely setting and the wait staff accommodating, the food was well below average. Our shuttle was all Americans; I come to a Italy to eat like Italians. The veges and meat were all over cooked. If you wasn't to have an experience like dining at Disneyland, then this is the place for you. .
