We spent a week in Positano and had several recommendations from friends near and far to try this place. We made a reservation for dinner the day before and took the shuttle up to the restaurant. The shuttle was just 5 minutes late, no big deal. The ride up was neat and harrowing on the winding roads. Once we got there, the views were just breathtaking. The restaurant has several different seating areas. Every table has a great view. We sat down and the food immediately started coming. No menus. It is all family style. We counted 10 appetizers (eggplant parm, mozzarella, broccoli, and a bunch of other things i can't remember). Then came the pasta course. Then the meat course. Then dessert. Oh, and they placed a bottle of white and a bottle of red on the table. We drank 2 reds. All for $35 per person. Can't beat it. It was quite an experience. The staff was wonderful and very attentive. This is an experience not to be missed.

A fun evening was had by all starting with the breathtaking views of Positano on the free luxe shuttle bus.

Not much to add that hasn't already been written by others.

Service with a smile. Best for groups.

The price was outstanding (70 euro for 2 meals, each 5 courses including wine and dessert and cappuccino), the food was amazing and the view was breathtaking! What else could you want?! I have a food allergy (celiac disease- no gluten) and the server was very accommodating. In fact, he produced the BEST gluten free meal I have EVER had (ricotta filled ravioli). They didn't even have a menu- they just brought out what "mama and papa" were cooking in the kitchen (the server was their son). We booked this from our hotel and they had a car that picked us up and dropped us back off at the hotel (along with several other hotels when we were going back). It's at the top of Positano so the view was truly spectacular. I would suggest getting there closer to 7 (we went in June) so that you can really appreciate the full view before it gets dark. You will NOT be disappointed!

We have been to La Tagliata on two visits to Italy. It is the restaurant I would love to go to again. Our hotel had a driver to take us up the mountain. The views are stunning. The food is so delicious, especially the pre-dinner vegetables, etc. The owners and staff are so friendly, you feel as if you're with family. You will not leave hungry, the food just keeps coming. I love looking at the photos of the restaurant and the lovely plates the food is served on. It can get crowded, so arrive early to get a good table. We've had many good memories here~

Upon many recommendations, we went to have lunch at La Tagliata. Hard to get to, but so worth it. The view is simply breathtaking! All their veggies are home grown, and mama in the kitchen makes everything from scratch. Our meal was very good. The hospitality was wonderful. Highly recommend.
