“Fantastico!”
Reviewed May 10, 2014

We went to this restaurant in March and had a great meal. The waiter (family member) explained that there is no menu and would bring the food which Mama cooks, I had to explain that I can't eat cheese (a tad difficult in Italy), but this wasn't a problem for them, there was so much food that next time (and there will be a next time) I would skip the pasta course, because by then I was so full, and then came the grilled meats with salad and chips - followed by desserts. The place was packed, and it was lunchtime mid week, that says something..... Will be back.

“Average Food”
Reviewed May 8, 2014

Upon a recommendation, we reserved a evening at this restaurant. TA gave very good reviews. The harrowing drive up the hill was exhilarating, provided by the restaurant. Arriving at the restaurant we were greeted very nicely and showed to our table. It was very busy. It was a family style meal, lots of food. As the food started, we found it plain, cool to luke warm, the meat dish was sinewy, & greasy. Have had better wine than that was provided. The evening was an all u can eat & drink. There was entertainment that kept everyone smiling and clapping.
It was ok not our cup of tea!!!

“Best meal of our whole trip!!!”
Reviewed May 8, 2014

My husband and I arrived here late one night after a LONG day of traveling, and it was the absolute BEST meal of our whole trip. The food was fresh, family style, and they were even able to accommodate my need for gluten free. I would come back to Positano just for this restaurant - it is a MUST!!!

Genuine homemade Italian food and very generous portions. Excellent price/quality ratio. They offer a free pick-up service that really complements the experience as you are taken through amazing scenic views of Positano. Overall definitely a must when staying in Positano! Would definitely come back! Prego!

“A Tastebud Explosion!”
Reviewed May 8, 2014

From the moment we walked into La Tagliata we knew we were in for a treat! Vincenzo and family welcomed us as if we were family and the night just just got better. From the antipasti which was a perfect beginning to the homemade pasta all served family style! There were four different pasta dishes created by Mama. Gnocchi in tomato sauce, cavatelli with fresh veggies, pumpkin and porcini stuffed ravioli and Mama's pasta. Our favorite was all of them! Also served with fesh vegetables and beans. Then we were served several different varieties of meats from lamb to rabbit, all of which we're fantastic! Along with a salad. Too much food to imagine. Then came the desserts along with limoncello. One of the best meals we have ever eaten along with great wine from their own vineyards! Come to Positano for a great place to be, but do not miss this wonderful restaurant! Thank you La Tagliata!!!! Sincerely Mark & Sheri
