“Fabulous Positano Experience”
Reviewed April 30, 2014

We absolutely loved our dinner at La Tagliata. The free shuttle was an appreciated bonus. It was a wet and cloudy evening but the clouds cleared enough when we arrived to show us just how high up above the town we were, and it was spectacular. The meal was delicious. Served immediately as we arrived, and then paced perfectly through the evening, we were stuffed by the end of it. It was every bit delicious. By no means fine dining, but just good quality, tasty, family style cuisine. Plenty of wine, and limoncello to finish, just a gorgeous night. And the staff were lovely! I would highly recommend a visit!

“A true Italian experience”
Reviewed April 29, 2014 via mobile

Of all the places we ate at on the Amalfi Coast, La Tagliata was by far the best in all ways. The family owned business has a warm welcoming atmosphere and we felt as if we were visiting friends for a leisurely lunch. There are no menus and none were needed. The family cooks as if company is coming and serves it as they would to friends and family. The food was fresh, home grown and delicious. The service was friendly and familiar. I did not want to leave and considered my time at La Tagliata as the highlight of my trip. I cannot wait to go back and you should make a point of going there

“3 out of 5 for food, 5 for the Ambiance!”
Reviewed April 28, 2014

Even though it was dark, and rainy… I could only imagine what the view was like. And the grounds were awesome. Go hungry, very hungry. It was too much food for us. And I "really" enjoyed only 50% of the food. NOTHING was bad, just not "fantastic". However, for the price, the service, the atmosphere… great! I would go back for the experience on a clear day!

“The best!”
Reviewed April 27, 2014

What an experience! Just as all of the others have said...the view, the food, the taste, the ambience! It's all an unforgettable experience. If you are going to the Amalfi coast you must go to this restaurant. We stayed in Naples and the drive was worth it. Enjoy!

“What a happy accident!”
Reviewed April 27, 2014

My friend and I and our four children stumbled across this restaurant in the middle of a day-long hike in the hills above Positano. We had no idea we were walking in to the number one TripAdvisor rated restaurant for Positano!

The restaurant has no menu - instead they serve a fantastic four course meal family style. My personal favorite course was the antipasti course. Plate after plate of delicious grilled vegetables, beans, mozzarella. Next comes pasta, but don't fill up, because next is an overflowing plate of grilled meats. Pork, beef, rabbit, chicken, etc, served with salad. All mouthwatering and delectable. Last course was dessert, and of course we practically licked those plates clean. Included in the price was a bottle of house wine and it was not too bad, either!

We felt so lucky that they had room for us! I think this was the best meal we had in Positano. We almost went back for a repeat experience on our last night, but we decided instead to try something new. We did hear that in the evening, the service is even livlier and there is even some dancing?!? Will definitely try this place again, if we ever return to Positano.
