As everyone says the view is incredible, but a bit over rated. We were picked up in a large shuttle bus with about 15 other people. We were all seated at the same time and served at the same time. The food is not wonderful but quite good… and there is A LOT of it. It is all one price, no menus (VERY well priced, probably our cheapest meal of the whole trip!) and all guest are invited to leave together in the shuttle back to your hotel. In some ways it felt quite impersonal and like an assembly line, but still enjoyable. The restaurant is certainly worth a visit if you have a few nights in Positano, but not the #1 choice.

This restaurant will send a large van to pick you up at your Positano hotel. You are welcomed like family. Pace yourselves!! We didnt know that the first 9 plates were not everything we were getting - we counted about 34 different plates of food for our group of 7 celebrating our daughter getting married earlier in the evening. They include everything - wine, dessert, ride!!! A total bargain for incredible homemade Italian food. Thanks Mama!!!

Before going to la tagliata we read all the positive reviews, thus making our decision easier to try it out. The shuttle that was to pick us up at the bus stop across from the farmacia, was an hour late, ( we had made reservations a month in advance. Once arriving the staff was certainly apologetic, however we were the last seating, and the shuttle was leaving in an hour. Our dinner was ok, but if your after massive quantities of food, as opposed to more selective and smaller portions.... This will be the place for you. Not enough choice....as they don't give you any, and I feel it's a waste of food with everything we left on the plate...... Not my highest recommendation.

There could not have been a warmer, more inviting and delicious experience while visiting Positano. The menu is predetermined and you are served as though visiting their home. Everyone is family and they take pleasure in your enjoyment. We wanted to buy a bottle of their home made wine so they gave us a bottle as a gift! The value for the cost blew us away. You'll love it!

We loved La Tagliata! It was like being invited to an old friend's house for a big family meal. There was no menu, they just asked us if we wanted red or white wine. They just brought out what Mama was cooking, and it was GREAT! WE had 4 courses and the wine poured freely. There was a flat rate that was extremely reasonable. After the meal, they offered us a ride to our apartment because we had missed our bus. Really a must if you're in the area.
