Excellent lunch with great views.

No menu, just large multi course tasting menu. Food was outstanding - particularly the pasta.

“Clearly, a memorable experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 16, 2013

You do not need to read many TA reviews to conclude this is an experience you will never forget. I had not thought to go because of it's location in Montepertuso until a random traveler we met on the boat to Amalfi (!) told us they have a free pick up van. When I asked my hotel to make a reservation, the staff knew what to do before the name was off my lips.

The cooking and food is Sorrentine home cooking -- from good to excellent, but about 30 courses, served at tables, with wine. And they make you feel like family. The view out the large window is to die for: At sunset you can see all along the coast to Capri.

If you had only one night in Positano, do this place. Reservations necessary.

“One of The Best Meals of My Life!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 15, 2013

Amazing! I cant say enough. The food is outstanding, but the whole experience is also part of the magic of this meal.

We drove for almost an hour from Sorrento to go to Tagliata... it was every bit worth the drive.

The family greets you at the entrance and seats you on your table overlooking the amazing sea views. There are no menus... you can just sit back and relax.

The meal starts with about 8-10 antipastis (starters) made form veggies grown in Tagliata's gardens on the mountain in addition to mozzarella and prosciutto. This is followed by a big plate of different pastas. the greatest pasta.. then a big plate of misc bbq'ed meats.. very tender and succulent. it does not stop here... a plate of different desserts follows :)

This is a must try if you re in the area (even as far as 2 hours away). Beware, they only open on weekends in winter so plan accordingly

“Great food with an excellent view”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 14, 2013

Come at dusk to get fantastic views of sunset over the coast. Don't worry about the menu because there isn't one- they adapt to what they have in their garden at the time! Tell them if you have any special requirements and whether you prefer red or white wine then they take care of all the rest...and boy there is a lot of it!

“Incredible place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 14, 2013

We dined here for our wedding reception and from the minute we arrived, the food, service & location of the restaurant made it feel like a very special night indeed. We were greeted with Prosecco on the amazing rooftop terrace which had the most incredible views. We were then taken to our table overlooking the sea. The food that was then served was home-made, delicious & in abundance! Lovely variety of recipes and though we ran out of stomach space, we couldn't stop eating! There was a singer that evening which created a lovely atmosphere. Mama the Chef came out to meet us and she was greeted with a round of applause from the whole restaurant. Staff went out of their way to look after us and all in all the visit could not have been better. Recommend highly!
