First off if you're lucky enough to get it without a reservation well done - you're in for a treat. Second - any place that doesn't give you a menu is either completely out of sorts or incredibly good - La taglia is the later. The food is exceptional, authentic and diverse. If you can make it through the 5+ course menu you'll emerge with a new sense of wonderment at what traditional italian fare can be. This place has it all - a clifftop location, fantastic service, and the food to back it all up.

“Best meal in Italy”
Reviewed January 9, 2013

We planned our trip to Positano so we can visit this restaurant. It was perfect, the place is immaculate, clean, kitchen is spotless. Food and experience were fantastic. Owner's hospitality incredible. It's a must on a list while visiting Positano. Views and experience are very special.

“Best Way to Sample Local Food!”
Reviewed January 9, 2013

The atmosphere is friendly and you'll find that locals flock here, too. Yes, the food is bountiful and the food is made and grown in the owners' gardens. This is the place to really get an opportunity to sample local specialities, without having to worry about whether you've ordered something you may not like. A great value for the price and they offer transportation to get you up to the top of the mountain. Go around sunset!

“Fantastico!”
Reviewed January 8, 2013

Do not eat for 2 days, then go to La Tagliata and make sure you have no appointments afterwards. Not only do you get a lot of delicious food, you just can’t stop enjoying. Up in the hills of Montepertuso, with beautiful views on Positano, La Tagliata is THE PLACE to have the best local (and I mean L O C A L – from their own garden!!) food. We can only recommend eating as many times as possible at La Tagliata – Antonietta & Peppino are great hosts. Rosa & Don Luigi have created a little garden of Eden in the hills. We love it! Thank you for a beautiful evening with our friends and family - everybody loved it!
