We picked this place because we could see it from the balcony of our room at the Hotel Albergo California. We were tired from the trek to Positano and just looking to decompress. Let me preface this review by saying what I try to in all my reviews on Italy. Do not be in a rush. If you're hypoglycemic or just cranky when you're hungry then always carry a snack around with you. Don't go to these restaurants starved and cranky or you'll never fully enjoy the Italian dining experience. That said, you can dine in the restaurant on the hotel side of the small road or just across on the narrow sidewalk table. We chose the latter on both our visits. The inside is nice, but louder from the sound of voices bouncing off the walls. We both preferred the more quiet and open aired experience. The servers are young, genuinely sweet and running their tails off trying to keep up with all the tables between the pair of em. I suggest ordering "acqua minerale, con gas per favore" with every meal. They don't get the concept of "ice water with lemon", so give it up and give into the "when in Rome" concept. It seems to go really well with the food there and I never had a stomach ache though I stuffed myself at every meal I'll tell you now, it's hard not to. The view is awesome. It's a bit awkward at first sitting on a slope, but you get used to it and the meal is worth waiting for. The food is really fresh and well presented. It was the first place we'd seen the the option for Mozzarella grilled on lemon leaves and I love lemon anything so I had to tried it. First, don't eat the lemon leaves. Just peel the cheese off of them and get ready to taste the most delicious app ever~ This is why we went back. We could've dined a dozen other places and pretty much had a rule of not dining anywhere twice on this trip, but on our last night in town we decided we just had to have another order of the grilled Mozzarella. So, there you have it. If you go, don't be in a rush, enjoy the view, drink the water their way and definitely order the grilled mozzarella on lemon leaves~
