This place was one of the few places open for dinner on a Thursday evening in mid November in Portovenere. It is an O.K. place for a quick drink out of the rain and cold, but DO NOT STAY FOR DINNER. The hostess was relatively accommodating of our poor Italian language skills and served us before her official dinner hour of 7pm, but the meal she produced was a big let down. The bread was at least a day old - very very dry and tasteless. The olive oil was in a spritzer bottle! A local specialty - Mesciua (chick pea soup) was "edible" but nothing to write home about. The other plate was porcetta - sliced seasoned pork served luke warm with a few greasy pan-fried potato slices on the side. The whole meal was overcharged, and she had the nerve to charge us for the stale bread as well. Poor show! Again, would not recommend this place for dinner under any condition.
