Wonderful food, polite service facing the village piazza. Outstanding fish. Try the frutti di mare or the fantasia appetizer. Everything is fresh, fresh, fresh.

“Expensive and small small plates”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 1, 2013 via mobile

One of those wannabe famous places that offer just small plates for big money. Avoid and choose something else in this cosy harbor village, there is!

“Lovely restaurant. One of the best in Porto Venere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 2, 2013 via mobile

On a damp Tuesday evening after Easter, this restaurant won our custom for being open. The. Tre Torri antipasti selection was a sublime taste of 8 small. dishes, each of them beautifully prepared and presented. Wonderful grilled squid, and perfectly cooked Gilthead. The tiramisu was the best we've had with an interesting soaked biscuit rather than biscotti, and the. fluffiest lightest creme. Wait staff were attentive and pleasant. Although this was our last night at Porto Venere we would have definitlely come back again, and again.

“A gentle classic outside the buzz of quayside tourist places”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 12, 2012

Tre Torri is a lovely little restaurant, hiding in plain view. Perched at the north end of the little square at the eastern end of the town it offers elegant dining at reasonable prices, no small achievement in the very desirable and picturesque town of Portovenere. There is a very pleasant gazebo that offers great dining in the semi-outdoors all year round, with views of he port and passers-by. Tablecloths, monogrammed plate service, the works and no rushing. The menu offers the usual fare, of good quality, with some excellent breads and a very fair cellar. Family owned and run, it is elegant yet casual, unpressured and forgiving dining. We had a plate of salted anchovies and another of mussels 'pepate' (steamed without tomatoes but slightly spicy) for antipasto, with spaghetti with clams and another 'allo scoglio' (mixed shellfish) for primo, followed by coffee. With a decent bottle of Falanghina the bill came to 59 Euros.

“Le Tre Torri”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 20, 2012

Arriving at Portovenere at 1 p.m., starvation drove us to the nearest restaurant for lunch. Luckily that restaurant happened to be Tre Torri.

For our first course, my husband ordered a Fantasia fritto misto. I orderd mussels, and like the Québécois, pointed to fried potatoes (pommes frittes) to go with them, even though the fried potatoes are a contorno— side dish— for the main course. Our waiter was unsure of my request and asked… “With your appetizer?” He walked off shaking his head…but he served them both to me at the same time.

The mussels were tender and fresh and delicious. The fried potatoes thin, crisp, and salty. My husband's fantasy fry—was a fantasy—but not fried. Five plates were set before him, each one a delicate work of art—each one from the sea—and only one of them fried.

For his main course he orded a Tre Torri seafood platter while I settled for Pasta Arrabiata. Along with a bottle of vino rosso from the Cinque Terre, a shared dessert and two double espressos the bill totaled 75 euros.

The food was excellent. The service commendable.
